Just watched this afternoons deal or no deal I recorded it.

All I can say is wow

I'm guessing they must have won....

I did watch deal or no deal a few times in the past...but I think I must just have too much of a logical brain for it...why they have to stretch it out so long is beyond me when they could just ask at the beginning of the programme...."so which box do you want to open?"

I clearly dont do the suspense.

Comparison total (compared products only) £21.55 £25.55
    cheaper +£4.00

Why buy an 8 pack at £2.89 when you could have two 4 packs at £1 each?:rotfl: Equals £2. So - that's another 89p lost to Mr A - could have had an extra 4 pint milk later and given A no more than what they've just given it (I thought it was because they were shopping at A and not thinking they were buying as if they were in Morries - but see that, according to online, A is now £1 each:( on the Activia 4 packs!).

Way to go - why not pay 80p each for A own brand instead of getting Princes at (effectively) 50p each in M?:wall:

That's the crucial point. I think that's what people generally do not understand - and thus they lose the full of the discount that would otherwise be due to them.

I don't see what the point is in buying at T (unless I've missed some point as per later in this reply). I'm not really shopping at A these days - occasionally might pick up things I need with a womble but just mainly doing shops like that - not bothering with further items to get 8 - so what I did, on Monday, was just pick up one box of Alpen Light, that we might need - we don't need to go mad or buy more - at 50p in M. I could have waited and tried in A but - all for the sake of 5p?

It's the same with the Princes Juices - if I needed them and I tend to think they just give you more sugar than you need - even if not added, then it's sugar that is already in fruit from the outset - so why not just have something better, such as water? If I needed them, I would just have picked up 2 at 2 for £1 (50p each) and that's that.

Or alternatively you could buy them simply at 2 for £2 in A with a womble. That works out cheaper, since you're not paying real cash, although you have to pretend that your womble just wasn't as good as it actually was. That may be the alternative way to go. Swings and roundabouts.

Unless you are saying that, on the Alpen Light, there is some cashback of TBC or something like that that is giving back the full T price instead of the 50p M price, and me being as usual totally unaware of any CB offer:eek:. You've confused me there, with your reference to "cb":rotfl:. I assume you mean the TBG discount - unless I've missed this point and there's actually some CB offer that would make it more sense to buy in T? Otherwise, as I see it, certainly instore, there's no point. You may as well buy them in M. And not have to buy (and pay money for) the number of extra items in T beyond the number of comparable-to-M Alpen Light flavours they stock. Take your TBG discount and reduce it by the cost spent on extra items needed beyond merely the Alpen Lights that you could simply buy in M (with nothing further needed to get 50p cost each). You've therefore saved somewhat less than the discount! And, even then, the FB people, according to what you are telling me (I have not seen and have no knowledge of the FB page), didn't get the discount they expected - so they've ended up paying T more!
Yes meant the TBG cb. It seems lots of people aren't able to get the alpens in M's due to them selling out quickly because of the offer. Hence the will they work via APG/TBG :)

Sorry to ask the same thing again, but I need to decide whether to checkout a c&c or not.
Does anyone know what happens when an rtc item is out of stock in store, but still available to cc from that store, and the sel is missing? How do they base the price of any subs, if I'm assuming correctly that they would usually scan the sel of the missing item.
    Hope that makes sense :o

    Thankies in advance!

thanks for the info. to make it worth while I would want to buy at least 3 x lots of hand wash Would buying 8x sanex and 1 cussions work or would I have to buy 3 x 3 x 3 I hope yyou understand what I mean thanks

Don't think so. Looks like it's relying on an invisible trigger (if I've understood it correctly) so you are limited, sadly, to a maximum of 3 items in the offer in any single shop. 2 appearing and 1 non-appear. Any further will simply pick up 3 for £3 mbuy between them - so, your example, you'd end up with two 3 for £3s:( on the comp although two items at full price (but same as buying one set of "3 for £3" in the shop in total).

In fact 9 items (3x 3 for £3) would be worse than useless - as the additionals would then go £1.00 vs £1.25 at T and take money off you on each. Must therefore stick to a single set of 3 to get full benefit of full price comp. Otherwise, you're getting the glitch, but in effect paying an extra amount for each £1.00 vs £1.25 as well as paying 3 for £3 on those (sadly) surplus items!
