I've found out that I've made an error:eek:. The Knightsbridge Malt Loaf at 49p in M turns out be 200g:( rather than 220g. So that, adjusted to the 190g weight of the Soreen brand, it now works out at a little more expensive than 45p (ten per cent cheaper than M on the Soreen from A - although, for some reason, I doubt whether the Soreen loaf would compare Avs M (and, if that's the case, then the Knightsbridge version in M would still work out 'better' - unless you have specific MOCs or CB offer on the Soreen version. I know - it's so complicated:rotfl::rotfl:! Also would have to factor travelling distances and costs to A and M into the matter, just to save just over one and a half pence by weight on the loaf, assuming there is a comparison - but then again wombles could be paying - whether outright at 50p:eek: - or it may (or may not:() compare and then extra cost (or not) of the extra 7 different items. Etc. etc.).

I'm sorry I therefore got the wrong weight for the Knightsbridge. This is due to an incorrect SEL in one of my M stores, but when the product is examined, it is clearly 200g on the packaging. So, it looks like the Knightsbridge malt loaf may have had a downsizing at some recent point:(.

However, I have good news elsewhere. Or, at least, it's just that nothing has changed:(. I have looked at one of the Alpen light packs (the Cherry Bakewell version) and it is the same size as the one I bought when doing my price-matching at Sains last year:D. So, at least there is good news there - even if :(it is the negative that there has been no downsizing (sadly I can't report a pack size increase:rotfl:).

But, there we are, I have been making a few mistakes here and there of late (proof that I'm human:D:laugh:), and I've picked up my one on the malt loaf now - everything else though will hopefully be correct!:):rotfl::o:rotfl::cool:

Oh, the reason btw that I think the Soreen malt loaf might not pick up M's 50p price is that I have it in only one store and that I'm also now relying on an errant SEL there today (although it has previously been in stock on the previous two occasions). I think someone reported a non-compare a few days ago? I'm not sure. That said, my Dettol Laundry Cleanser a few weeks back worked - and I had that in only one (different) store too. It is still there, just in that store for me, although it is an RTC - just to be aware - so it may stop working at some point. We do not know if it works or not now - it may have already stopped (even though there's been no change in my stores there). (I might mention why I think the Baylis & Harding Jojoba seems to me quite risky later:rotfl::rotfl:.)

I'm just removing the Knightsbridge Malt Loaf:laugh::o. For now, it's approaching "teatime":D, so I'll see you later!:)

This was from a CC early this morning (around 9 am). The Princes juice and Rocky bars should have compared - but its probably a good job they didn't given the size of my apg and the fact that the toothbrush was out of stock and the substitute was a completly diferent unsuitable one so I should get a refund for that.

I didn't see the Rocky bars on Monday (I later became aware of their pricing from msm:o:laugh:) but I do have them from today. It's possible that they may only have gone on offer today or yesterday.

I would have thought the Princes juices would have been risky, given the state of the pricing in my stores on Monday. The store that had last week's "offer" still showing (£1.58:eek: and 3 for £2:() on Monday has now got the offer showing only on some stock in one part of the store - the main aisle, although they've changed the price from £1.58 to £1.32, now still doesn't have the mbuy showing:(.

I've seen two stores that have the Princes right, with the new mbuy showing on the aisle stock, this was on Monday - and is still the case in the store that I've revisited today - however I would have thought that, unless there is any glitch on the mbuy in A, it would seem better to buy in even number in M. Effectively 50p each - pity the poor soul who sees (new) price of £1.32 on the shelf in the store with no mbuy and... just buys one carton:rotfl:.

On the After Eight mints, these should continue. ("Should" being the operative word again.) I saw them at £1 today and I was so doubtful about whether that price was still correct or not, that I checked it in a second store and it also does say £1 there. You can never be sure if they've just not removed an offer label:rotfl:. However, the second store for me has it as a proper SEL and therefore, yes, it is still £1 today - so this should still continue after tomorrow.

EDIT: Btw, in case it helps, judging by the state of the pricing in my M stores on the Lynx Shower Gels, I would not risk them at all against M's 4 for £3. One store just has merely part of the range marked up (looks like others are £2.37, although I know they are not). Another has full price £2.37:eek: on the entire lot* and no mbuy at all showing - the only 'clue' is some on the aisle end - and even there they have no pricing specific for them showing. My third store last time came to the rescue with pricing of £1 on all of them and full mbuy SELs:T. However, if the situation I have is any representative, it's just going to cause confusion:( and it ain't going to work on the APG! Especially not if mix and matching is brought into the matter - and against that 4 for £3 offer that isn't always totally clear throughout.

Btw, the Cystitis Relief has been removed from that offer now. They've done it by increasing it's individual price to £1.15:(. It appears that they did the same thing on the Bic Twin Lady on Monday, by increasing them to £1.60 individual. (The offer is "all toiletries..." (etc.) at £1 are also 4 for £3.) I say "appears", as it wasn't even completely clear in one of my stores. There they had some stock marked at £1 and other stock, on the actual main shelf, marked at £1.60:laugh:.

*(which is last week's price, they are now £1 individual)

    A v M womble 14.14

    1x Heinz Beanz with Pork Sausages (415G) £0.99 £0.50 A v T

:(Thank you. I had thought about this too, although not posted anything saying it, that I imagined that, because the price in M has gone real real down (over the APG's 40% difference from previous week guide), that this triggers them to do a further check to ensure the price they've taken is correct. Which, bizarrely and ironically, means that it may delay them until they pick up the right price:(:( - so they return at last week's £2 price:(.:p

I would suspect this means the whole Alpen Light range (as far as stocked in A) would currently fail. Although it's possible someone may find one (or more) and have it work, I would not be trying it at all.

I wonder if the Weetabix with Chocolate would pick up M's 3 for £5? However, given that cereals in the past have missed that, when it's been, like now, mix and match, I doubt would even work. In my view, anyway, there, buying 3:eek: is buying too much - and I would prefer a straight deduction in price offer - hence why this product, at that pricing, doesn't even get to my list. EDIT: Actually, it's straight £1.50 in A so it seems just get that separately (or compare from elsewhere, if any of elsewhere's price promises now are any good:(:( - those frowns may sort of suggest my own view:laugh:) - although I think £1.50 isn't a good price - probably nowhere near as good as 10% off M's previous cheaper offer? In fact £1.50 on Weetabix 24s is, I think, standard expensive offer price, rather than the (very rare:() £1.24 that gets close to the guide price I have for these - and I reckon £1.50 sees you paying way in excess of 20p/100g if not probably twice that much. (Before anyone says - I have not done the maths:D.) Fwiw, Kellogg's Variety pack is £1 in M - which is way way way above 20p/100g - I think even that best price probably works out twice as costly as any 'good' cereal offers that go to about that low price. And (excepting any glitch) SP is always even cheaper:rotfl:.

HTH. Such a shame about the Alpen Light.
