I think tonight is the first time I have been royally narked at Zombies Run and my phone.
I wouldn't mind if it was up to 0.1km out on step counter. Maybe even a touch more.
BUT when I have my best run ever, 4km in juuuust under 33min (treadmill set to 7.6km p/h with a couple of short slow jogs for a drink) and ZR/Samsung S3 Mini clocks in at 3.6km...poor, poor show of accuracy.
Am actually rather upset at this as I use ZR to track progress and it looks like I have made none.
*has a sad*

Thanks LondonGirl. I am an awful runner and I still hate it so that means a lot
Maybe when I upgrade my phone I will try a map alongside!

Probably a silly question but:
How is the phone supposed to know how far you have run?
I use strava to record my runs, but that uses GPS to track me ... so how does it work when you are on a treadmill as you don't move?
Or does it somehow calculate stride length based on height and speed? I'm confused.
PS well done heartbreak_star on the running .. every run will make you better. (I have just started running myself)“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -
Ah thanks indesisiv! Love the name
It has an inbuilt step counter to track on a treadmill, and you pre-set your stride length beforehand. I'm going to have to rejig mine though due to the issue detailed in my sulky post above

That sort of makes sense to me. Can you tell that I have never been in a gym, nor ever thought of running on a treadmill.
EDIT: I have just started doing parkruns (4) now and find those suit me a lot more than just training on my own. My own PB at parkrun is nearly 2 mins faster than I have ever run on my own. I also use "bounts" linked in to mapmyrun to collect points and have just ordered a free £10 costa voucher. Makes exercise almost worthwhile(my reference link is duncan1267 if anyone joins up - in the interests of full disclosure it should give both people 100 points).
I turned on zombie chases for the first time this week  I tried really hard running flat out to get away and still got "caught", the next time I was lucky and had slowed almost to a walk right before they appeared so I made it relatively easily. I think I already run close enough to my max to make the chases work. I'll persevere a bit to see.Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

Do you have the pro membership Angry Bear? You can change the chase difficulty and frequency

Best £15 I ever spent, IMO.
