  • Awesome I will make sure I do those races before season 2 as well!

I just looked up the Harry Potter Running Club after reading your earlier post... how fantastic! I am definitley going to look into doing some of those, what a great idea to get fit running and also support charities!

  • Are the 10km races different stories to the 5km? Might have to run/walk those.

Yes, all six races in the "Race Missions" category have a different story. And all well worth it :)

  • HBS - Love your new signature! Although it isnt true! I dont often succeed first time but I still skydive regularly! LOL! All that equipment is designed to prevent you from killing yourself! : -)
  • So my phone decided to play a sad song after a sad bit of a mission. I might have mumbled out loud "that's not helping!", and got funny looks in the gym...

  • Awwwww - which mission are you on so I can be prepared when I finally get to it! : -) I am doing more of the Superhero workouts as well now that the weather is a bit dodgy - I find it difficult to run in the rain as I wear specs and cant see a ruddy thing when hey are rained on! LOL

I managed 2 - thats TWO whole proper burpees!!!!!! I know its not much but I was struggling to do one correctly. I kept kicking my legs out one at a time and it was driving me nuts!!!

Its amazing how motivated you get when you start seeing improvements with yourself. I am starting to see my muffin top is not as big as it used to be, but more than that I am finding that the exercises are getting a teensy bit easier. Not easy but not impossible like they used to be!

Thank you for all your support HBS - you have been a massive help so far!
  • Aww no worries, I love this thread as it's nice to chat about the app :)

Having seen you guys talking about ZombiesRun! on here, I've downloaded the app and am now hooked. I've only done the first two missions but already totally sucked in :o

Over the last couple of years I've gone from zero fitness (no exaggeration) to pretty good. I find running probably one of the toughest cardio exercises but I don't really "enjoy" it and when I get bored the time drags and it just feels harder and harder.

Firs mission of Zombies totally distracted me and by the end of my run I still felt raring to go (more or less ;)). Can't wait to see where the story goes!

  • I am so the same Angry Bear. Running is the "easiest" thing for me as I am too self conscious to go to a gym and dont have enough discipline, tolerance or patience to work through some of these exercise DVD's. I got diagnosed with MS a few years ago, and after some failed attempts at rubbish meds that made me put on weight and made me feel miserable, I decided that it was time to take control of my fitness and my life!

I'm finding it tough but when I am talking myself out of going for a run (making up a million excuses for why I shouldnt go), I try to remember the feeling it gives me after and remind myself of how far I have come. Use it or Lose it, I say!

And Heartbreak Star and Zombies Run have helped tremendously. I cant thank her enough for recommending it. It really does take your mind off what you are doing. I gasped outlloud on my run this evening - LOL! And then spent the next quarter of a mile giggling at how much it had made me jump! LOL! Its a brilliant story. Am nearly at the end of Season 1 and loving it!
  • Awwwww I am blushing now!

I am just a massive sucker for a good story, and I figure anything that can make me run deserves recommending :)

Angry Bear - the story only gets better!!
