    mumto5 ditto re interview x

Paid stuff done, children got from school, I am going to shortly turn into the homework monster, then start on this ridiculous list. I never finish these lists you will notice, but I tried doing short lists and didn't finish those either, so I figure I may get more done from a longer list. Logic.

My 3 laptops have gone in for repair so I may be a bit absent this week.. I'm distressed already!!!

I have de webbed downstairs, vacuumed the ceilings, walls and 1 floor! 4 loads of laundry done 3 dried and away. Threw out a broken android tablet. Filled a binbag of rubbish.

I will have an empty house if I can keep this up another 5 years lol

Gave dog a stick to chew yesterday while we were out, she has chewed it everywhere, bits of it in every room , like a protest. Each bit just slightly bigger than Henri can eat. Grrrrrrr.
Maybe she needs something a bit "tidier" to chew. My Border Terrier pal Ted brings one of these

with him when he has a holiday with us; it lasts him absolutely ages, even though he's what you might call a "super-chewer", and it's completely edible, so you don't get any bits to clean up.

    - got lovely email from mum of student whose report I sent last week, apparently the girl was grateful for my "kind and understanding approach" - it is so nice when people bother to let me know things like that, I really appreciate it.
:T:T:T "Thank you" is a sadly neglected, but very valuable, form of compensation.:o

Lovely sunshine today; so I've been able to get a WM load of Mr LW's clothes dried outside, including 5 pairs of socks.:D

Just been informed that his work have a "dress-down Friday" again this week - and they're supposed to wear something pink. The only thing I can think of for Mr LW is his Delirium Tremens polo shirt, which has pink elephants on it.

    Afternoon all

    Ironing done
    Some apples prepped and frozen
Gas refund requested (disgusting the way companies don 't do this automatically when you switch)

    Then paid stuff done

Hour done in next door's garden
Our bins and their's all stuffed and put out
Walked to garage to pick up my car - yay it is fixed

Doing dinner now and then calling it a day, shattered, been awake since 4:45

  • Hi all

Been a bit awol, I was late up this morning so didnt get on here before work. I have decided that once a week DS and I will try and do something together. DS and I spend a lot of time together as he is at home most of the time so I might as well make the most of it. Plus there are not many almost 17 year olds that actually like doing stuff with their Mum!

So we took the bikes to some local mountain bike trails and had such a laugh. The weather was lovely and I have had a brilliant afternoon.

I am now catching up on some flying while the menfolk are playing something very noisy on the xbox.

Oh that sounds lovely, YL xx

Hoping CY is doing ok today xx

I'm in the garage / office. It's green bin day tomorrow so I've evicted a couple of boxes that were sat here for no reason. So ive tidied down that side and it no longer feels like it's imposing on me, lol. There is still an unopened pressure washer (really must find the time to clean the patio - or am I best leaving till spring now?), the halogen heater (used today for the first time in months, brrr, was cold in my office at 6.30am!) and a spare chair that is home for my basket of CS donations.

The point is, I can see floor, lol.

Just having a cuppa and I'm going to dig out torches for the weekend. And move a couple more bits around <rollseyes>
