Good morning - hope everyone is well?

I started today with the worst job. Clean the fireplace. We have a wood burner and it was well overdue for a good fettle. I have v@xed the inside including above the throat plate which was full of soot and debris. It now looks lovely and clean unlike me - my arms are covered in soot :( Just going to give the V@x a good wipe down with a couple of antibac wipes and then i'll have a shower before continuing with the rest of the room.

    Good luck Mumto5 x

Hope everyone has a good day?

Nice going on the house insurance, Kazwookie. *kerching* I'm seriously considering a token Christmas this year, and in doing so realised that the only person I spend real money on nowadays is OH and he was very pouty about that idea!

:eek::eek:! Who on earth can afford that? Buckets of stickability and good luck with the vapeing. Well worth it.

Superking stripped and in the WM, two more loads need to go through today because the rain is returning tonight. *weep* Superking to remake, and more jamming. Lots of jamming.
    Better is good enough.

    Morning all

Mumto5 - Good luck for today.
Dusty - I know that feeling with jobs. Seems no matter how much time I spend doing admin for paid stuff there's still a mountain of stuff that needs doing or like you said it creates more jobs :(

I've woken up feeling very rough today. I've decided to postpone errands and instead of going out I'm going to transfer money from my personal account to my work account then later this week I'll pay the cash into my work account and transfer the money back. So its a paid stuff day for me, sat on the sofa under a quilt, with plenty of hot drinks. I'm hoping I can get this work done quickly and manage to have a hot bath later.

I need to buy more dry dog food so I'm going to order that online as there's bigger packs which work out cheaper per kilo and I might possibly add a Christmas gift as well but we'll wait and see :o However having a dog who doesn't like rawhide or chocolate kind of limits our choices with special Christmas stuff :rotfl:

If I manage to fly today it'll probably only be dailies, although most of the clutter in the livingroom is work related so if I can get that away there will be a vast improvement on how the livingroom looks :o

    Personal:
Dailies: Beds, dishes, laundry load, S&S kitchen, S&S bathroom, [STRIKE]dog walk[/STRIKE] going to play lots with him instead if he ever stops sulking/sleeping on the other sofa
    Laundry (cloths)
    Accounts
    Pay bills
    HGP jobs
    Clean front of the house
Sort dehumidifiers for bathroom and DD bedroom
Shredding - need to fix/buy shredder
Stuff to charity shop - half way there
Nag DD over arrangements going away - Thur/Fri
    Plan bake sale stuff

Super Monday! - Master Bedroom plus S&SLevel 2
Bedroom unfluffling: dust and deweb all your lovely clear surfaces, and Hoover up all that fluff. Get the nozzle out (oo-er missus) and tackle your edges, corners, skirting and behind anything you can safely reach. Wipe over light switches and door handles.
    Level 3
Shine your sink and S&S the kitchen work tops

    Wonder Tuesday: Living Room
    Level 1

Choose a hot spot and spend time sorting. Maybe bags or boxes for "keep, bin, donate" and then clean under / behind where the hotspot once was! - I'm just going to treat everything work related as a hot spot!
    Dust and deweb.
    Level 2
    Dust and deweb.
Sweep / vac / mop as required.
    Carefully wipe over electricals.
    Level 3
Give the fireplace a really good clean - get in all the corners and mouldings. Make sure nothing is left on the mantle that doesn't belong there.
    Vac or wipe any upholstery.
    Extras:
    • Give the remotes an antibac wipe, and maybe the telephone too!
    • Wash some windows.
    • Wash any sofa cushions or throws that are in need.
    • HHI

Good luck with your interview today mumto5

nicki I hope you are feeling better soon. Good idea to stay in and keep warm

pigpen I did the same as you with socks. All white ones had a different logo at the top. We had a visitor the other day laughing at Mr P's socks. Penguin socks, the only one I could find that DSs didn't have.

Plus they all bought themselves black socks for work. All the black socks lived in a basket as I had no time to sit and sort identical socks.

When they were little I paid them 1p per pair if they sat and sorted them. Then I realised it was going to cost me a lot of money so I stopped.
Thank you lynnejk I am still doing minimal movement stuff. Looking for ideas of sitting down jobs that doing involve too much movement

    Hi all

Hope the interview went well mumto5 xx

WFH today and making good progress with some year-end (already!) work I have to schedule in. Doing the builds now while I have a short gap.

Not done much in the house. Only set DW going and put a wash on. Just popped out for milk and cash in my break so I'd better crack on. Although I might do some work tonight too.

Granny called earlier asking if she can take DD to see The Nutcracker at new year. Aww. She'll love it. I'll come up with something fun for DS as well.

Also need to plan my shopping list for this weeks Beavers creations...

    Hope interview went well mumto5!

Got in from work and Dh was home as was doing a split day and was asleep in lounge. Grrr.

Anyway, decluttered him to pick up dd2 from school whilst I whizzed round lounge.

    Clutter cleared.
    Playmobil cleared away.
    Hoovered whole room.
    Dusted all surfaced.
    Cleaned big bay window.
Lit a candle to make it smell nice lol.

    Have also

Cleaned kitchen window which is a hard job as it's over the sink and a royal pita to climb up at!
Cleaned sill in kitchen. Was awful.
Cleaned french doors in dining area.
Put a load of washing away.
    Hung another load on airer.

Dh is going to collect Dd1 from club later whilst I do dinner.

Little and often really is the way forward I think. It's taken me ages to get my head round flylady but I can see the difference already!

    Xxx
