ionafan hope you have a lovely day at the christening.

We had a massive tidy up yesterday so today we are having a family day at home. Washed up the pots from our dinner party this morning while OH did some digging in the garden. Took ds2 to a party and now OH are tring to build a 200 piece marble run!
Second load of washing in the washing machine and I am going upstairs to sort out Christmas presents now while kiddies are being kept occupied!

    Catch you all later x

I'm cream crackered. Both logs stores filled, huge and I mean huge pile of bundles of willow in a pile for burning over the next few winters (will give a couple at least away) which I need to stash somewhere. Still 4 panels to deal with but two are behind the playhouse now. Lawn half raked, looks so much tidier out there.

DH has put the new bonnet on his car, looks good, just need to get rid of the old one now.

Going to ring Mum and then make a crumble, cook dinner and sit down for the rest of the evening.

Thanks Jazee and Mrs MP. I've had a word with the dog-owning neighbour whose parting comment was, 'We'll see how it goes.' Hmm.

So I've done the 'Speak softly ...' bit and now I'll ' ... carry a big stick' because it's clear she's in denial. In fact, what I did was to pick up a swishable twig-thing while on the latest walk, and will continue to do so until I think Kelpie's safe. None of my dogs has ever retaliated, but all of them have been hassled by dogs that are clearly not under control and I've had enough. Kelpie being a male is even more of a target that the girlies were and he's been attacked at least four times in six months. The situation won't miraculously get better. If the owners won't control their dogs I will. Sad.

Both letting rooms cleaned and room swap done. Latest lodger made the unwise decision to ask for a rent reduction again, having been here for five days. Sense of humour failing on my part.

    Bins done.
    Better is good enough.

Me again. Really happy with what I've achieved today. Everything I planned to do plus one load of washing dry on the line, apple crumbles made and the kitchen sink scrubbed and shiny.

I've had a nice soak in the bath and have just finished the first of three (small) courses for dinner.

Happy days. A shame I'm back to the paid stuff tomorrow.

Have a great evening everyone. I'll see you on the next thread.

I have planted my baby strawberry plants out, they have rooted really well. I have brought in the washing and ironed it.

bedroom clean and landing and stairs vacuumed.

I have also discovered the neighbour I called the police to a few years ago, for being verbally aggressive towards me has been visited by the bobbies again; this time he has done something to his next door neighbour, a single mum.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
I've spent the day doing my window. I'm keeping it simple this year, but it's still taken me all day as I've done a jack skellington from the Nightmare before christmas so his pin stripe suit has been a bit of a pain in the bottom to put it politely :p I only quit when I did as I couldn't see what I was doing any more.

I've done a tiny bit of paid stuff and tidied up. I have a delivery arriving tomorrow which needs to be sorted out and I'm hoping that since a big chunk of it cost wise is for school I'll be able to just put them in a box and shove them to the side to be dealt with at the weekend or something :o If I can do that then I can get it all finished pretty quick, and stand a chance at finishing the window tomorrow before paid stuff on Tuesday as well.

DD isn't back until Wednesday night so Thursday will start the homework nagging and we need to run errands at some point so weather permitting thats Thursday or Friday, Halloween Saturday then I start properly thinking about Christmas! Where is this year going? Seems like only yesterday I was putting the decorations away, yet on the 23rd Nov which is only 4 weeks away I start my Christmas window (always try and start it the Monday before Advent)

Well my phone is charged, time to let the dog out, and head up to bed. My body has decided that the 8 hours I had last night wasn't enough and I another 8+ :rotfl:
