  • I echo other posters in saying a big. well done to Piggers!

I really slept well and enjoyed the extra hour in the land of nod.

DD1 is coming in for her official 'birthday with the family'. Looking forward to seeing her.

Hope Mumto5's dog is continuing to improve and that Ionafan survives her long day on not enough sleep.

Hope everyone else has a good day.

Well done Pigpen, that's very encouraging.

Last night I made use of large "flying saucer" squash given to me by a friend who has an immense veg garden. Stuffed with minced beef, mushrooms, chopped celery and the last bit of red Thai sauce/soup from the day before, it was yummy and looked like this.

Done a bit of paperwork, now off to church. Lovely sunny day and lots of birds in the garden although not seen the woodpecker yet. A tiny coal tit came to my "office feeder" so was about 2 feet away the other side of the window. Cute.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Well, once again his sister has prevented us from going to his mothers.. I am actually suspicious she does it on purpose to stop OH seeing his parents.. maybe I'm just a cynic!! She is claiming she's been ill for 2 weeks yet after I packed frantically for 3 days in addition to all the rest of my crazy life.. it would have been nice to know sooner so I could actually have done some of the stuff I need to get done.. my house is a shambles and stuff being shifted all over the place! She is claiming to have had a stomach bug for 2 weeks.. unfortunately.. I'm a cynic lol .. OH is not happy they didn't mention it sooner.. and the message from his sister yesterday sounded like she was utterly off her head on something illicit.. NOT somewhere I want to be never mind the girls.. it's amazing how they make it all OH being unreasonable.. we have planned this for weeks (yet I pack days before I know :p ) and they drop this on us last minute.. his dad's been in hospital really ill and didn't go because he was going this week so would see him then.. but oh no!! Can't be having that can we..

    Magic rant.. ;)

On a plus note.. I have free rein on DD2's room once she goes to work at 11:30... let's just say, she won't recognise it when she gets back :p .. I WILL have it habitable!

I need to sort a Christmas list too and sort presents already bought .. the small 3, DD1 and 2 are done. DS1 and DS3 I know what I'm getting but I want a good deal! Leaving DS2, DD3, 4 and 5 .. I can do this I'm sure .. I want to get all the wrapping done in November.. like in ye olden days!

washing.. OH to hang out and I need to play catch up.

Thank you all for the words of encouragement!

    Oh Piggers...

I am making my way round my room and I *think* I will try to get Christmas cards written this week  just in case I get called in to work at short notice.

I shall add it to my list!

Pigpen, in addition to the cash tin for change, it might be a good idea to have a money belt for bank notes.

Back to normal routine here today if you count cooking chicken and rice at 6am for LittleyDog normal.

It was normal here for years for Dog, but fortunately Kelpie will eat Ch@ppie with gusto, at long last, so the house isn't festooned with rice grains any more. Healing vibes for LittleyDog. Hope Mutley's okay. (((Hugs))) for Mumto5.

I'm coming to the conclusion that older dogs give off an 'Attack Me Now' vibe, or Plymouth Hoe attracts a particularly stupid kind of dog walker who thinks it's okay for their dogs to have a pop at older dogs, as in biting mine. I'm sick of it, and 'Sorry' just doesn't cut the mustard with me any more, as people come over and haul their dogs off knowing full well that they won't come to call - they never, ever do. I screwed up my courage and phoned someone up yesterday to ask to go and see her about the latest totally unprovoked incident, only to be told her father had died and they were having a family day.

I am very seriously considering carrying a stick because if they won't get their dogs any training, I'm going to have to do the 'training' myself, and this would then turn it into an arms race. Do Flyladies have any helpful suggestions about this? I avoid the ones I know are unsafe, but the latest incident took place on the pavement very near our house and we have to be able to go that way.
    Better is good enough.

I have cleaned out the old rabbit hutch in preparation for listing it on FB and chopped down some stuff for the green bin.

Have just had the most delicious poached eggs - done in the cling film - who'd have thought it, thanks again Valli.

Have weeded the front path and borders which has been a frog for a couple of weeks. Glad it's done. Going to go for another stroll with the dogs soon.

One of the houses on our route has free apples. Got some this morning, am going back for a few more. So when I get back I shall be making portion sized apple crumbles for the freezer.

Glad you had a good night CY.
    Piggers - just inconsiderate people.

HB - no tips for the dogs walkers. I have the opposite problem. I know that LittleyDog is not that friendly towards other dogs (excepting OldDog and even that can be strained at times) so I keep her close to me and don't let her say 'hello'. So why do other people think she'll be ok with their mutts?? I just don't get it.

    Catch you all later.
