Piggers I'm really proud of you! That was a big leap of faith to do the craft fair and very pleased to hear you'll be doing it again.
Been up for hours, not good on a clock back night. I've read two magazines so can declutter those. Drank two cups of tea and done a couple of surveys/left reviews on here. Mogs think I'm going to feed them, I think otherwise.
I've shuffled some washing on the maidens. Breakfast time for me now and then some paperwork sorting I think. too drk to tell what the weather is like. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning flyladies. Well done Piggers.
Back to normal routine here today if you count cooking chicken and rice at 6am for LittleyDog normal.
So I'll be hoovering/sweeping/mopping through and doing a few jobs in the garden as well as dog walking.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Morning all.
Sounds like a successful afternoon, pigpen! :T
Hope muttley is doing well, Mumto5.
How was the course, Froddy?
We changed all the clocks last night except for the radio controlled ones on my side of the bed and in the kitchen, and went to bed early because I was shattered. I slept soundly until my alarm woke me, and could easily have slept longer, but DH was already up, so I got up too. I had set my alarm for 7.30 (big day today for DGS4, starting at 10.00!) but somehow this clock had not picked up the time shift and according to every other clock in the house it was still only 6.30  DH says he hasn't slept at all well, and I'm still shattered, so that does not bode particularly well for peace and harmony between us... *And* the double glazed windows in our bedroom were running with condensation... drying them off is my least favourite job of the autumn
The fundraising race night yesterday evening was quite good fun and I came away with only a couple of pounds less in my purse than I had gone with - stakes were just 20p a time at the start, rising to 50p for the second half of the programme, and I had a couple of small wins. But I shall not be taking up betting for a hobby, and DH never bets nowadays, having won the Grand National sweepstake at work the year he was doing a Saturday job whilst still at school, when the horse he picked out of the hat was so unfancied that his 10 shillings was the only bet at that particular bookie's - but that was the year that all the leading horses were brought down at the 23rd fence by a loose horse and Foinavon, who had been lagging far behind, somehow managed to avoid the melee and went on to win at 100-1. After winning a tidy sum before he was even old enough to go into the bookies' to claim his money, DH vowed to stay ahead of the bookies forever, and not even the Church Decoration Fund could sway his resolve :rotfl:
I have just folded up and put away some washing that has been draped round the bathroom for the past couple of days. The rest of my flying today will consist of
- packing the cake safely
- transporting it to DGS4's party
- celebrating
- driving home
- eating soup left over from the AGM for supper [nom-nom]
- collapsing in front of TV for the evening
Must get moving now. Feeling better already after my first cuppa
Hope everyone has a good day. to CY. Poohbear, take things slowly, please. (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to all who need them.0 -
Up at sparrow's cough because of the time different,

poached eggs (done in clingfilm - thanks to someone's link on FB - I can now poach eggs woot!) on toast and I have been for the paper. And, in the process of changing the car clock, discovered that the car does, indeed, allow me to clock journeys!
I plan to clean my bedroom today after a liberal dose of strike back was applied upstairs yesterday, and the cats were frontlined, so I am hoping do vacuum up dead hoppy critters.
As it's nice too I might get some garden tidying done. And my list for the week constructed.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all
Breakfast had, dog walked and my plan for the rest of the day is to work on my Halloween window display. This time last year it was done and dusted! I have a couple of jobs to do, but I can do them while I wait for paint to dry.
Off to find a "Happy Halloween" sign I can print out and use. Its so much easier than trying to work out how to write it backwards correctly :rotfl: :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning everyone
Well done Pigpen, glad you enjoyed it. I know someone who does craft fairs and she says that you quickly work out which ones are worth going to and which ones are a waste of time. She always had a stall at the school christmas fayre which did well too, might be worth investigating.
Iona sounds like a good night. I am not a gambler either, goes against the grain for me!
Have sorted my finance spreadsheets. There is some paid stuff that I should have really finished yesterday so I will get on with that next. Freezing here, it was a hard frost overnight.
Right another brew first I think.0 -
