    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
    Afternoon all

That's a fantastic cake Iona. Trust you enjoy your wedding today and it stays fine.

Mumto5 - pleased to hear Muttley on the road to recovery

Hope your toothache receding Narco. Sorry to hear about your mobile library but think it's happening everywhere. We've just had a public consultation about our library services here. Some of the smaller branch libraries are closing and they are going to restructure the mobile and housebound services to reduce them from three vans to two. It's so sad :(

You've had a brilliant clear-out by the sound of it Nicki !! and done an amazing amount of flying. Hope you enjoy your stay-in night-out and find yourself something lovely when you return your stuff.

HB - I can't believe it's six months since you welcomed Kelpie into your house. It seems like only a couple of weeks ago.

Dusty - hope your Mum recovering and soon back to herself

Having a bit of a lazy day today and catching up with things on the internet and going to watch the Rugby shortly.

Then just home-made Pea and Ham soup, with garlic bread for DH, followed by pizza, all from the freezer for tea. It's a margarita and I'll add some tuna and extra cheese when I cook it. I also put anchovies and black olives on mine :)

The morrow I need to go to the library, to the garden centre for a bag of compost and some mini narcissi for the balcony boxes and A*di for some f & v, rolls and milk.

Hope you all have a super weekend and ((hugs)) to all

nicki You might not have been happy about DD not having enough clean clothes but boy did you crack on with chores during the night.

I was awake as find it really difficult to sleep but didn't get up and do any chores.

mumto5 I am relieved to hear your poor dog is home and still alive. When our dog ate a whole dark chocolate cake he had to go to the vets and they gave him an injection so he would throw it all up. I guess yours had too long between him eating the fruit and you finding him. Still cost £70!

If anyone finds a dog has just wolfed down something dangerous for them my vet friend said to make a saline solution and feed it to the dog until they throw it all up. I did that when other pup ate grapes and it worked!!

Evening all. Have been reading back so..
    Lovely cake
    Good that dog is home
    Hugs etc where needed.

Nothing is staying in my brain as I've pretty much spent all day in bed with a headache, except 2 dog walks and another trip to the vet with LittleyDog.

I am planning to wake up tomorrow full of beans and actually do some flying.

    Have a great evening everyone.

    One frog eaten.
Dinner also eaten, was fish not frogs.
    Bulbs planted
Mum rang, getting on ok, won't give you the gory details but district nurse has been very ingenious with dealing with draining the wound.

I need some headache tablets and a cuppa.

Sounds like everyone is being pretty busy.
My tooth is feeling a bit better thanks, but I don't feel that it should be troubling me at all!

A late start this am as I didn't sleep especially well. Went into town as Mr N had written a list and wanted a load of stuff, it was actually quite enjoyable as I actually go shopping (as opposed to going to A!di, Mata1an or the garden centre) about 4 times per year; not one of my hobbies. We managed L1d! (don't often go that end of town so it made a change), shoe shop (shoes for him, slippers for me), various DIY/home shops (got new sheets, underblanket, wood for some garden projects and looked at table mats) so I rewarded myself with a C0sta on the way home. I'd thrown some peas and ham into the curry sauce left over from last night's dinner in the slow cooker, so blitzed it when we got home and had soup for lunch.

Managed to write part of another report while watching 1st half of rugby by splitting screen (I don't always manage to do that), then watched 2nd half on sofa with Mr N while texting our NZ friend who is watching it at home at some unearthly hour in the morning. All very pleasant.

This evening it is dinner by Strictly then finish the report.
Tomorrow I'm on refreshments at church, then we'll see what the weather is doing.

the spotted woodpecker is venturing onto the feeder on the patio outside the kitchen now, he's been at the far end of the garden on another feeder all summer. I've refilled everything and got another peanut holder to hang outside my study/office so hopefully he may feel brave enough to come up - with the new windows I will actually have a clear view.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
  • Hi all

Been thinking about you and your dog Mumto5. Hope things are improving.

I seem to be slipping back into spending all day Saturday doing housework, which is definitely not how it should be. Mind you I have decluttered quite a bit of paperwork and done a couple of hours cooking and baking. Dont seem to have had any time to myself today though.

How lucky to get a woodpecker visiting Narco. I remember having one in our garden when I was little.

Hugs to those with headaches, toothaches and other lurgies. I didnt make it to the library this morning so off to see if I can find a cheap book for my Kindle.

Craft fair was actually fun.. don't think I could have held in my wee longer than 2 hours though (Dettol wipes at the ready!) I was also expecting a cold church hall so dressed for the occasion and was boiled alive! Several hat orders in (yarn on order) and several Kg's of pretties out.. I have enough money to buy more naked yarn!!

I have a list of things for 'next time' ... see I got brave!! I have ordered a couple of bits.. a cash tub/box/tin for example and a disembodied head for hat displays! I have myself a week list!

I have also arranged to swap 3-4 skeins for a bookfold for OH's mum for Christmas.. hopefully the lady is up for it!

I even found a friend!!! I do think my sister was my best customer!! haha.. she is making a blanket for my niece!

Love, hugs, GWS's and karma buses to those in need xxxx
