Not necessarily.
Windows 10 download is 2,862.6MB, so a £15 top-up, on 3, would just about cover it.0 -
blimy , I could go out and buy a 4 g pendrive , load it with win 10 and post it to you and pocket £8 of your allowance ,0

On another thread someone is saying to ditch landlines.
I was thinking how can I get broadband internet in my home without a landline?
There are probably ways to avoid landline based internet but it depends how important having reliable internet is.
Sharing a neighbours connection is an idea but they might have a crap isp and they might have a problem with their connection which could be a hassle if they were out or on holiday. Sounds like a pretty bad solution!
Using 3g/4g is an idea but I have found that data rates can be variable whereas with a landline you will have a reliable transfer speed at all times (unless you have a rubbish isp)0 -
Virgin do this. Internet without landline. Sorry do not know the prices, but it is walk in, pay and take your router. They were promoting this in my city during uni freshers week.0

I'll second the Virgin route. They dropped the need to take a landline with your BB some time ago.
Of course, only applicable if your area has Virgin Media cable services...

one virgin router does not work on another virgin cable line ,
