keep going. It makes you realise doesnt it how we waste money without realising.
Once you take stock of the situation and start to deal with it it really shows how its doable.

Hi Popstess..just saw your diary and have subscribed to cheer you on your way to DF dom :T You can do it..such determination and with the support on here from all the peeps you will be just fine
Just 2 things to add..
- YNAB (You Need A Budget) on my phone and PC has really helped me to forecast and budget for everything from the usual to the unexpected.. you can probably get a 30 day free trial - see how you get on.
- have you tried surveys? I do the Pinecone ones and at £3 a pop which you can retrieve immediately through PayPal so def worth doing imo
And just one other thing..Yep we were at over £30k unsecured debt at the worst....but we came through it and its now all gone..Worked harder, sold stuff, took on more hours, took in a lodger and students, minimised spends and watched the known weaknesses like a hawk, said 'no' to folks (especially the Jones'
)..you get the drift. It became an obsession. We are proof it can be done and be proud of yourself for admitting to it and dealing with it all

Thank you brizzledfw
Just starting out and having up and down days
However the amount you have paid off is so inspiring and keeps me motivated to carry on.
I will check out the pinecone surveys. Thanks for the tipSP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

Hi brizzlefd :hello:
Thanks for the sub and the pointers. Wow congrats on clearing that amount of debt I am in awe of your achievements!!! :T:T:T
How long did it take you to clear it?
I have looked into surveys but I haven't had much luck. I tried pine cone research but it asks for a login but nowhere to register so o don't really understand.
I'm reading up on match betting st the moment but it seems so complicated so don't think I'll be trying that.
I really need to bring in some extra income. I've put a few things on eBay. No spare rooms for a lodger. Any other ideas?0 -

Matched betting, while possibly almost "Risk free" isn't something I'd say you should contemplate just at the moment anyway....
Other sources of income?
Tell you what, I haven't seen many comments relating to becoming, say a "Rep" for a well known cosmetics company....
On that train of thought, there's things like leaflet drops, repping for cleaning products, (and just about anything else I suppose), even good old "variously sized storage containers-ware"....
As with everything, what you get back depends as much on how much time, effort you can or want to put in, but, I think there could be some opportunities for a few quid - it's just a case of knowing what suits you first, and a bit of creative thinking!0 -

I'm looking into lots of options. To be honest I don't understand enough or much at all about the match betting so will stay clear for now still interested to learn about it.
I'm reading lots and thinking lots so hopefully I'll find something that will suit soon hopefully0
