  • Hopefully our valuation will be done early next week then. Still don't understand the need for so many hard checks in a short space of time. Does it not impact your score at all?

Yeah it has impacted our score, I'm not too fussed about that now as they've given us the mortgage offer. But I would have been seriously annoyed if they didn't. Although they don't go off your score anyhow so it's not entirely an issue
  • Apparently if it's the same company doing the checks within 30 days of the original it won't have any impact.

Hoping to get an update on the valuation this week. Had my text on Friday to say they had received my application and the money was taken off my card that day.

I'm going away with work for the week on Friday so praying I get a response by then as getting docs to them after then will be a nightmare!
  • They still haven't taken our valuation fee! Going to call them I think!
  • Did you go direct or via a broker, fairy? I went via a broker who advised me that Nationwide take payment at point of application, and then refund if for whatever reason the mortgage doesn't proceed. I would ring if I was you as they should have taken it by now.

Have the underwriters approved your DIP yet? The underwriters took about 3-4 days to actually get around to mine, but was approved quickly and full application went in a few hours later along with all the proofs and payment taken.
  • Through a broker, yes the DIP is now approved - a subject approve, subject to valuation. We submitted all the documents with our dip refer. I have received the text from nationwide so no idea why they haven't taken the money! Maybe they're doing me a freebie ha ha ha
  • Now I am confused! Had a text saying..

Hi, Nationwide here. The Valuation has been rescheduled to. There's no need to be present unless we've arranged this with you.

No date..... just a full stop!!

Ooooh we had that, we rang the estate agent and asked when it was booked for instead! They didn't give us a date x
  • Oh ok! I think the sale office is shut till Thursday, so not sure how they have booked one.... I feel so confused..... odd they haven't taken the money though unless it is just delayed coming out of the current account!!

I had that no-date text initially, and the another one a few days with a date.
