Countrywide did ours but for applauding. Valuation Monday, text message 7.45am Wednesday with mortgage offer so seem quite quick

Oh really! I doubt this will be us tomorrow as they hadn't even received it this afternoon when I called. Countrywide told me they would send it over within 24 hours so surely it's just waiting somewhere? I know I'm being impatient, just so stressful when the seller and agent are chasing us! Argghhh
  • Hopefully it will all now go smoothly for us all from now on! Our broker said it will be quick after the valuation but we don't have a date for that yet.... Sorry yours is now taking a while xxlauxx and fingers crossed yours doesn't have to go to HO. I would think all that checking has been done so no point sending it to HO lol!!

Ours is mainly built and they are still saying completion mid Nov but I'm not convinced, there's only half a garage!

Now I'm worried about our purchaser not getting a mortgage! Always something to worry about!!!

    Xxlauxx that's great news!

Not so good news for me. Underwriters have come back asking a million questions again. Why have I paid NI contributions (well they know hubby is self employed so that's a bit obvious as to why) asking why I paid nursery fees and im not any more (because he's now in school) and all sorts of other stupid stuff.
Our reservation on the property runs out in just over a week, I'm at my wits end!
  • Oh no, that's crazy! I was expecting them to query my childcare voucher as I have forgotten to stop it, my LO just started school too!

I don't understand why all the questions don't come at the same time in one list, so you can answer in one go. This tooing and froing surely doesn't make sense for anyone concerned.

Fingers crossed that's all of them now xxx

I agree with you both its crazy stuff. Don't get me wrong I understand why they have to ask, just a bit of common sense goes a long way sometimes!

Broker rang nw yesterday and they hadn't even looked at the information we provided that they'd asked for. Apparently it's been raised to escalation status due to the time issues so will be 24 hours for response rather than 5 days. So hoping we hear somethjng back today although not holding my breath anymore.
I've got serious doubts of us actually getting the mortgage at this rate! :(
  • Hi there just to piggy back onto the Nationwide bandwagon! Heres my timeline so far,

    25/09 DIP Accepted
    3/10 Offer Accepted
    5/10 Applied in Full
    9/10 Valuation

And since then theyve been hounding me for additional paperwork, oh this number doenst match that number, YES IT DOES! Just subtract them!. Then there was my employment contract....thats not a contract, yes it is it says here, employee's contract...blimee!

Seems to be all settled now and its under final review hopefully will hear Monday.

Oh its 75% LTV FTB no scheme 108.750k mortgage with salaries of 50k no debt and spotless credit records.
  • I got a text today saying thank you, we have received your application! Well yes, weeks ago (I know that was the dip!)
They haven't taken the valuation monies yet! Did they come back to you Jess?
