    I can remember when M& S charged 10 p for a bag in the food department.

    I shopped weekly without plastic bags. Cardboard boxes were used to carry shopping to the car.

    Paper carriers were used for clothes etc. or they were tied up in brown paper and string.

    Ah, them were the days.
