Cheap Flights to New York

Hi Booked- now just realised that i have got 2 letters in my christian name round the wrong way, it stil looks OK I have a name that has many different spellings. It's all e tickets etc do you think this will be a problem? More haste less speed on my part. Tickets over £60.00 more expensive this morning.

I think - but not sure - you should get e-tickets reissued in your correctly spelled name. As I understand it, your name, passport details, flight details etc go into a government computer and it's important for name on ticket to match name in passport.

I rang BA CS this morning, yes especially for the US it's vital that the name on the ticket is exactly the same as that on the passport. Because I rang withing 24 hours of the booking being made there was no charge. I should really have been more careful in the first place.

hmm.. i'm going to have to look at quidco and booking the cosmo hotel through hotels.com if it works out cheaper.... never used quidco, so that'll be something new for me...

also, the only issue i have with booking through hotels.com is that the occupancy and city / state taxes are not included in the price i pay. It makes it a very very complex way of working out which is cheaper, as the price you see on hotels.com is NOT the price you pay..

hotelconxions, add on the taxes, and you have NOTHING extra to pay...

Right Markymoo, not sure then. Hotel conxions you pay up front, hotel.com on departure. Difference is £793.00 compared to £840.00( plus you will have to wait an age to get the money if indeed you do from quidco- although I always have.
As we both like that part of NY am definitely going to book- question is when- before or after Christmas?

Airline Network have NY with US Airways for under £200.

Can any one help with advice on airports or the airline please.

Routes are to La Guardia or JFK via Charlotte, or to Newark via Philadelphia.

Dont know the US at all....help!

Looking to go second week of January. I know the weather will be cold!

Newark via Philly? thats never a route i've known US to do. Normally it is LGA via Philly, which is the route I always take...

Under £200, its a bargain though... i'm off to check some sites now and get dates / full details... back in 10

actually, i can only find £260 ish for a flight, inc taxes... so if you can get it for under £200 inc taxes, you're onto a winner!

i'm a bit confused... but, i'll try help to explain..

if you pay on departure with hotels.com, you'll pay the £840, plus then add on taxes, which amount to 13.375% plus an extra $3.50 a night...
and then you get 6% of the £840, which is... so your overall cost through hotels.com is £966.35 - £47... so your orig £840 is actually £919..

expedia do the same with the cosmo hotel, the only place i've found where i can book and pay in advance with all taxes included is hotelconxions..

if you have the money now, i'd book, then you have the room.. there are only 105 rooms in the hotel, and it does fill up fast!

Can anyone help me out with the cheapest flights from london on these dates - 3 adults and 1 infant.

I have found zoom at £990 but would rather not fly from gatwick if I can help it.

heathrow or stansted would be preferable.
