    Hi everyone...again!:o
We've just been reading about putting a personal message in lights on Hersey's notice board outside the shop as a surprise for our son's 18th. It costs $5 and will stay for 15 mins. Has anyone done this before? We've tried to find how to book, but nothing seems to be on the site about it. Tips please...

Only 6 days to go....:j :j AND on the Sunday SNOW is forecast for a while - so happy, just can't wait!!:T :D
(makes up for the dreadful dollar exchange rate...)

Hi I did this for my ex last march. You just walk into the store and go up to the same counter that you see people paying for stuff at.They ask you to fill out a form confirming the message then up it goes outside. If they are not inundated with requests the message can be up for ages.Ours was up for about half an hour.

I am about to book flights to NY from Manchester on Delta as these are the cheapest. Are they really this bad?? from the website it looks as if you get your own telly on the seat back and that you can book online?? HELP

Personally I prefer Delta over virgin.I found the service much better.Book whoever suits yout pocket.I prefer anyone over virgin, but if virgin are cheapest,I'd happily go with them.

  • I think the type of entertainment depends on what aeroplane you get. It wasn't that bad, it wasn't terrible, I've just flown with better! And I did have plenty of room in the seat, but then I'm small anyway.

    depends on the flight path....

out of 10 trips to new york, i've only ever had 1 decent view of new york, and that was on a short hop from PHL to LGA

We did this last week. There is a counter where they take your message, then you pay at the main checkout with everyone else. Ask any of the staff and they'll be able to help you. Our message went straight up - it scrolls twice, then adverts, then repeats. We didn't hang around for more than 2 or 3 cycles as we had it on video by then, so don't know if it was up for longer than 15 minutes. The cost is $4.99 plus sales tax, so $5.36 in total.

Have a look across the road though and further down to the right as you leave Hersheys. There's a huge electronic billboard that says you can put your picture up on it (it was mostly yellow/red with a picture of a family on it). We only spotted this in the taxi on the way home so not sure what store this is, how much it costs or how you book it. If your considering it, it might be a good idea to have your photo in as many formats as you can (e.g. hard copy, usb stick, memory card).

If you do find this, please let us know how it works!
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
