Barclaycard & Free Experian Credit Score

I've noticed that on my Barclaycard online banking page if I got to "Transfers & Offers" there is a link for "Experian Credit Score". When I click on this it says, "This service is in the final stages of being prepared. Log back in soon to access your free Experian Credit Score."
As I'm relatively new to Barclaycard I'm not sure if this is something which has been there for a while, or whether it's a new offer. Has anyone else with a Barclaycard come across this?
There is nothing about it written on the Barclaycard website which I can find...

It's a new service they are launching, not sure if the Experian score is going to come with access to the credit report. All that glitters is not gold.0

what is the service?? is it free trial or just free Experian score whilst you have barclaycard??0

I'm not too sure yet; hence my original post asking what it could be... On first appearances it looks like you'll get shown your Experian Credit Score (not report) whilst you are a Barclaycard customer. I'm hoping that they'll include the report as well, but I'm not holding my breath!0

Here is the reply from Barclaycard support:Please allow me to let you know that Barclaycard and Experian have teamed up to give Barclaycard customers a free, online only, snapshot of their Experian credit score. Currently this is only accessible via mybarclaycard online account servicing (later in the year it will also be available via myBCA myBarclaycard App and by BMB Barclays Mobile Banking). As this is only available via online account servicing and the app Application(s), access is restricted to main cardholders only and their account must be activated.
When you register / opt in via mybarclaycard.co.uk (or via MyBCA / BMB) you have to agree to the Experian Credit Score Terms & Conditions.
Should you have any other query please do not hesitate to contact me again.
I hope this information helps you.
I sent the message via mybarclaycard account, so by their own words I must register for it, but I cannot find where I must do that. Go figure...0 -
I noticed also that it's updated every 60 days.Littlewoods £0/£750
Barclaycard £0/£1,000 @ 0% Nov '18
Goal: To be debt free by Oct' 31st 2016.
Now debt free!!!0 -
If it is free could be handy. Then if you suddenly find a big dip without any known changes to your finances can quickly check it out and find out the reason.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

When they launch the service you will have to register for it through the link on your online account, it will show you your experian credit score and update every 60 days, there aren't any fees or trial period etc, but it doesn't give you access to your full report or any information from it other than the score. I imagine It's mainly so you can get an idea of how appealing you are to a lender, and keep a track of significant changes which may alert you to anything that's gone wrong0

That's a shame; it's the basic data that's important, rather than the score. I suppose if the score changes significantly it will prompt me to check the stat report.0

However by giving a credit score will give an insight into the health of your credit file with them. And before anyone states the obvious I know it does not necessarily mean anything to credit providers.0 -
Does someone know the launch date?0
