Another vote for keeping them on the main board with a wonderful [STRIKE]victim[/STRIKE] volunteer to maintain the list (thanks sleepjones!).

As others have already said taking comps off the main board will mean:
* Lots of compers would miss them in a sub forum
* Many postings in the wrong place
* Every year their are 'discussions' about if a December daily comp is an advent if it doesn't run for the whole of December - do we really want fuss when there's no need?
* Even now, having been around for absolutely ages, many compers don't know about / visit other sub forums
* The Board Guides have so much to do already and this would mean an unrelenting tidal wave of comps needing to be moved to the sub forum or back from it!


Everyone comps in their own way, but I vote for leaving them on main and thanking MSEAndrea for the kind offer

Main board with a sticky. It will be a nightmare for BG's trying to move all the advent threads to the right sub forum when people dont read/cant find/dont know their way around and post them on the main board.

Looks like 90% plus don't care based on the thanks of 1600 upwards some comp posts get and the 155 poll votes so far - if they don't vote they should have no right to complain.

It is really possible that people just don't have the time to look on any other part of the board apart from the main competitions part as I know if it wasn't for the fact I was off work at the moment I would not have had a clue that this poll even existed. Maybe an idea to get a better response and give more people a chance to have a say when things like this are being done would be to allow them to be posted in the same way a competition is posted on the main board.

I'm not entirely convinced even that would help, A lot of people just don't want / choose not to help out in any way, they just want to enter the competitions and ask for help when something goes wrong ... that's about all the input they want / choose to have. (obviously, not always the case but in a lot of instances, Yes)

I ain't voted simply because I don't give a bugga where they go, they last a maximum of 6 weeks?
The Advents are definitely not as fantastic as they are made out to be :eek:

No biggie post them where ever the majority reckons is the best place, as long as I know where to find them I don't care where they are posted

Maybe a third choice on the poll for folks who didn't mind either way could have been an option
