Advents Sub-Board Mse Andrea has asked how we should do this.

Main board all the way. A sub board would be a mare and not fair on casual compers who will miss them, and after all MSE is for everyone.UEFA: Corrupting Football Since 1954 #CTID0

I don't mind a sub board as long as the advents are also on the main board like the dailys are.Wins of 20210

Definitely on the main board. Christmas is hectic enough and this will make things much easier all round :xmastree:0

temporary advent sticky always been on main board &
think oldies & newbies alike would find it easier to find/link to,
so def main from me.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.

Why not just have a Sub Board where all the advents can be posted, with a sticky on the Main Board0

A Sub-board would be better and preferably remove all competition entries from the "new posts" search function. For those of us who have absolutely no interest in competitions whatsoever, it is a complete nightmare trying to spot new posts amongst the flood of completion posts every morning!0

Personally, I'm not really all that bothered if they go into a sub forum or just live in the main forum.
It won't really make a difference in maintaining the Advents sticky so I'm open to go with the concencus.0 -
They're much better on the main board.
Advent comps are normal comps - usually dailies - that just happen to run in December. The ONLY reason we have an advent sticky with an index is that there are so many that the person maintaining the normal daily index (lizd31) would be swamped, so a second person (sleepyjones) takes on the extra load.
Another sub-board would just increase the number of wrong places where a comp can be posted. As well as newbies posting in the wrong place we would get experienced posters posting in the wrong place because they happened to have the wrong forum open at the time they find the comp (that's my excuse in advance).
We do not have enough BG support at the moment to move comps to the correct board without causing more misplaced posts requiring moving.0 -
They will be posted on the main board anyway, by all but the most forum savvy users. They need to stay on the main board like any other daily comp (glamour/House & Garden). If you don't want to do them then use the red cross.total wins 2013 £5500 2014 £7500 2015 £23,900 2016 £10,650 2017 £13,040 2018 £10,620 2019 £10,115 2020 £3970.00

Back Comping in 2024!0 -
I go for "Advents" to be posted in the same way they would be if they were just ordinary competitions that were not branded "advent".0
