I've been a bit lazy this afternoon. But a productive morning sorting bathrooms and kids rooms. Washed all the upstairs windows. Packed for another weekend trip :o

Rearranged for friend to come here instead of meeting for tea. She's even bringing food for the kiddos:A so we can be in when the plumber arrives.

So I've watched a movie and painted my nails:T

Wheelie bin full. Ready my side for fence. Waiting for next door to go out to do their side, not in the mood for their 5 kids asking me what I'm doing. Going to collect the apples I've knocked of the tree and bake a cake I think and just a few more branches to cut up.

Money moved to pay for fence. Washing lines put away to prevent injuries.

It has gone very dark here.

Got no sleep last night so I'm mega-tired today. Just pootling about doing little tasks, and of course seeing to Patch's needs.
She has dry food, and she's brought several hollow toys with her that she has the food put into, so that she has to work to obtain it.

I'm running "Wolfy's Taxi" tonight; Mr LW and his pal are going to the beer festival, so I've said I'll take them and bring them home, so that they can safely try all the beers (or ciders) they want. I'm not looking forward to it if I'm honest; I'm still very uneasy getting into a car, and I've only driven this car once, but I'll just have to "put my big girl knickers on" and get on with it.

Miss Moo well done on the reading. There is a wealth of wondrous stuff to be found in books - enjoy!:o

CY .. glad you are almost at the end of this round of treatment!

Squeak is super-proud of her 'star of the week' badge.

Pixie has been evicted from my room... I want to cry.. I really hope she settles nicely in there.

Major mess making going on in the interests or making space/selling/flinging/throwing out ... I will make a difference!

We are looking at getting a wardrobe for our room (we don't have a wardrobe!) and clearing the landing to accommodate the girls chests of drawers now they only have room for 2 and there are 4 in there.

The futon, a DVD player, a small shelf unit, a box of books, a duvet and pillow donated to DS1. Totally on a mission this week!!

Plumber is out on a job. As all good plumbers should be, I suppose. The first two I called are stacked out with work. Third guy will come on his way home (he's local). He said screwfix is open till 8pm and not to worry.

So I'm here. Alone. No water. Lol. I do have some bottles.

It'll be alreeet as they say in yorkshire...

I don't know if you'd think it worth it we have insurance cover (ours is with British Gas - others are available) for everything from plumbing and drains to gas and electric. One phonecall and it's sorted - and at a time to suit you. We find it invaluable. We rang when our toilet had water running into the bowl - they ended up replacing the entire internal workings of the thing. Also had them out for a leaky tap under the sink.

  • LW its understandable that you feel a bit nervous. I suppose it will get better in time.

CY glad your 5th one is over and you dont feel too bad today.

Pigpen well done on the flinging. What will you do without a little person in your bedroom though? Time for another?

Bossy hope the plumber has been.

DS2 will need collecting soon. OH dropped him off so I suppose its my turn. Waiting until he is home and fed before I finish cleaning up in the kitchen.
