MSE would not want to encourage you buy counterfeit goods (i hope at least). Definitely contact one of the MSErs here.
I've just looked at the 'Contact us' part of the website but cannot find a suitable contact related to the weekly email where this offer was first promoted. Is there a way of flagging this up on the forum for the people who manage the offers to see? I will try emailing the forum team if not.0 -

Maybe try the site feedback board. I know one of the MSE staff reads it.
A thread titled MSE promoting counterfeit goods will get their attention.0 -

I've done exactly this, thanks for the idea.0 -
Restocking fee for something under the DSR?
Not legal unless it is a) clearly stated in their terms and b) outside of your statutory rights.
It's clearly within your statutory rights to return something 'not as described' so the restocking fee is not correct.0 -
DSR is not longer valid but has been amended.
Bottom line is they are selling Illegal goods!0 -
Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your feedback. A few people have already been in touch with us to voice their concerns, and in each case we've passed their comments on to our contact at LivingSocial - we've then suggested those people go to LivingSocial's customer service team directly for further assistance.
As you all know, we do always conduct thorough research on any deals we feature on our site and in the weekly email - we don't just throw stuff out there willy-nilly. And our users getting the best deal possible is paramount to everything we do.
We made sure LivingSocial could provide us with an invoice from their supplier, to show us the stock was genuine and originally purchased direct from Ralph Lauren. However, if you're not convinced of its authenticity - or for any other reason you're not happy with the quality of the goods - you should make your concerns known to LivingSocial as soon as possible.
Obviously the last thing we want is for anyone to feel they've lost out because of this deal, so MSE will continue working behind the scenes with the team at LivingSocial (we have almost daily contact with them at the moment), to make sure our users get any issues resolved promptly.
The phone number is (020) 3356 0899 or you can use Twitter, or help page on its site.
Hope that's helpfulGrab the latest MSE Deals0 -
Thanks, your answer is appreciated.
Living Social seem willing to offer people a refund BUT are charging a restocking fee! for selling ILLEGAL goods! i think you need to make sure this is unacceptable.
I can also assure you they are fakes, part of your due diligence on offers like this could and should at least involve an inspection of said products.0
