The following is from www.ralphlauren.com, regarding their policy on counterfeits and those who sell them;

How do I know if a product I purchased is a counterfeit?
1. A counterfeit product is a fake or imitation made with the goal of tricking you into believing it is genuine. Counterfeit Ralph Lauren products are typically of poor quality and lack the details that make each Ralph Lauren product high-quality.
2. How is Ralph Lauren Corporation addressing the issue of counterfeit luxury goods? This is a very important issue and one we take very seriously. We take every step possible to pursue counterfeiters and the shops, websites, vendors and flea markets that sell fake Ralph Lauren products to maintain the reputation of the brand. Ralph Lauren works with local and state enforcement in addition to U.S. and foreign customs officials to try to prevent the sale of counterfeit goods.
3. How will purchasing a counterfeit affect me? You may think that purchasing a knock-off would not hurt anyone. This is wrong. The purchase of counterfeit merchandise eliminates tens of thousands of jobs held with legitimate businesses, negatively affects economic growth, does not provide fair wages or safe environments for workers, and can be a health and safety risk for the consumer. It has been shown that the funding from the sales of counterfeit products has been linked to organized crime, drug trafficking and support of terrorist organizations.
4. Where can I buy authentic Ralph Lauren products? Authentic Ralph Lauren merchandise should only be purchased directly from a Ralph Lauren store, Ralph Lauren Factory store, http://www.ralphlauren.com, or its approved retail stores, department stores, distributors and websites. Ralph Lauren does not sell merchandise through other sources such as individuals, internet auctions and flea markets, and these are likely to be counterfeit or stolen property.
5. Where can I report a counterfeit product? You may contact our Customer Service department via email at CustomerAssistance@RalphLauren.com or by phone at 888-475-7674 should you have any questions about authorized stores, distributors or websites.
You may also email reports of the sale of counterfeit products to RLcounterfeits@ralphlauren.com.
• I received my jumper on Monday. Ordered large and they sent medium. When it arrived it didn't look worth £10 let alone £110 before the discount. It was an awful white and really thin and poor quality and stitching. Certainly does not look like an original.

I contacted Living Social on 0203 356 0899. It diverted to a US number I think. I also got the 10 minute wait message but was only holding for a couple of minutes. Girl who answered was very helpful and sent me a Collect+ return label via email within 2 minutes with confirmation I would be refunded on receipt, and to return FOC for a refund. It's going back today and I know it can be tracked using that service so let's hope the refund is forthcoming. Should MSE be vetting these "great" offers?

Without a doubt these are fakes. I have numerous original Ralph Lauren Jumpers and these are not even similar. The poorly translated label with pigeon english says it all.

Surely they can't even charge a restocking fee for selling counterfeit goods? What are the laws in general on restocking fees?

Just had a confirmation email saying I would only receive a refund of £24, so out of pocket by around £9 for a fake sweater, a deal promoted by MSE.

I have to say I'm a little surprised there has not been more of an uproar considering 3000 were sold.

I raised a Section 75 claim as I paid with a credit card, my bank have sent me a text today saying they've put a temporary credit on my account and the company have 60 days to challenge. Fingers crossed!
