Living Social purchase

Options
Has anybody purchased and received their Ralph Lauren Jumper through Martin Lewis discount code a week or two ago. I'm getting anxious and after checking reviews of their company beginning to think they are not a reputable seller.:(

  • Hi,
I received mine this morning. I too was getting worried but it did say to allow 12 working days. I'm not too sure if it's genuine or not though, the quality is quite poor but maybe that's why they were cheaper in the first place. It looks good though, just the label stitching and the tags that seem a bit suspect. Hopefully you will receive yours in next couple of days!
  • Hi - received mine this morning and it is clearly a fake; the tags are nowhere near Ralph Lauren quality and the text on the tag is incorrectly translated: "Fine luxurious yarns crafted from long, 100% Cotton fibers, distinguish this signature menswear design knit in a fine-gauge rib stitch for lightweight comfort and an exquisitely soft hand" - I'm pretty sure this should be "exquisitely soft feel". Checking the returns process now....

Got mine, looks fake. Tried contacting Living Social but proving very difficult. Phone number redirected who knows where and then left in a queue. Paid by PayPal and they have an email address, tried that and got a reply telling me to use the phone number I'd already tried. Waiting time now 10 minutes. I have a return to address on my invoice but will I get a refund? Worried.

Do Living Social not have some sort of guarantee against peddling knock-off gear? If it is really counterfeit then it's quite simple illegal. http://www.devonsomersettradingstandards.gov.uk/consumers/understanding-your-rights/counterfeit-goods-ip-theft/

Received mine today and I think it may be fake too, one of the tags looks poorly printed and the quality around the v-neck is very thin. Also the angle of the polo mallet looks too low compared to a polo shirt I bought from House of Fraser.

Will be looking to return ASAP.

Mine came with two tags, one poorly printed with the poorly worded paragraph about the quality of the item. The other tag looks more genuine and on extensive googling it appears the tag belongs to an Oxford shirt so the tag may be genuine but the jumper certainly is not! This link shows the style code from the tag: https://www.pritchards.co.uk/menswear/polo-ralph-lauren-blue-long-sleeve-oxford-shirt/c-24/p-43224
scroll down through the details section and it lists the style code:

I spoke to livingsocial today to request a refund and the girl I spoke to was adamant that they were genuine. So I've been emailed a collect plus label to return the item but livingsocial will only refund me £24 as they charge for the postage and a restocking fee. How ridiculous this is.

I can't be the only one on MSE who went for this offer, any others in the same boat?

Would PayPal Buyer Protection work? https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/paypal-safety-and-security

Sending sweater back today. I successfully contacted a Customer Advisor after five attempts ( a check with my EE account found that there was a zero charge for these calls to 0203 3560899). A return label sent via email, printed off and taking the package to my local Spar which is a Collectplus point. Instructed to phone them again after I get my receipt from Spar and decide whether I want Living Social credit (no thanks) or a PayPal refund minus £4.99 re-stocking fee. Will have to grin and bear it but not using them again, Groupon treat customers much better.

Parcel sent, receipt obtained. Think I will wait for my PayPal refund, check the amount and then decide if I should use the PayPal Buyer Protection policy.
