Christmas is a week away and I've not won a bean
.
I wouldn't be as disheartened if it wasn't for the fact I keep seeing the same people win. One person with a disability wins an awful lot, I hate to sound like a jealous loser but they mention this disability in every competition and wins big prizes. I don't think they are being dishonest but I wonder if I ever stand a chance?£15900 loan (including interest) over 3.5 years to pay off...can I do it sooner???

I'm not sure if it's just me being impatient but I open up an Advent thread and then immediately scroll down to click through to page 2, but right as I'm about to click it (page 2) the page jumps a wee bit which caused me to actually hit the Spam button ... I did this twice yesterday! (obviously clicking the Spam button again to Un-Spam it.
I wonder if this is what's been happening with the advents posts that are going missing?0 -

I must admit, I do often hit 'spam' by mistake especially when my eyes are tired. I always 'unspam' but maybe the number of 'spam' hits stays the same even though the 'unspam' has been hit afterwards (if you know what I mean) so you could be right!
......I feel tired this evening - why did I choose the busiest shopping day of the year AND a home match day to head into the Newcastle city centre????? It was chocka - never again! That's me done now though - just a few bits of top up food (and maybe more wine....yes, infact, yes more wine) to get from Sainsburys through the week!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -

I wouldn't necessarily consider it a done deal yet. I won a PS4 in the advents last year and they didn't notify me until mid-March.
The advents have definitely felt easier to deal with this year, but I'm still glad that we're getting to the end of it.
Big thanks to Sleepy and everyone who has posted comps, answers and bumps.0 -

I have my settings set to open threads in reverse, so it opens at the last post. Great for Advents so the thread opens at the latest day.
It's also good for ordinary comps so you see what comments are being made as you scroll back to post #1. Have you ever opened a thread and entered the comp from the first post then scrolled down to find that in post #7 someone has pointed out that the OP has the wrong answer or that it is a very spammy site?
May not be to everyones liking but it works for me.0 -

It seems it's not an available option on the latest MSE version.
If you are on the old version,
Go to user CP (button at the top of the forum)
Select Edit Options from list on left.
Go to Thread Display Options
Then Thread Display Mode
Then select Linear - Newest First.
If you are using the latest version you can change back to old version, do the above, then change back to the new version and it retains the new setting.0 -

I couldn't comp this way as un-necessary bumping would annoy me!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0
