The Customer Options Team are the best people to phone. Usually if you want to commit to another 18 months contract they can give you the new customer deals at least. If you want to commit for longer they can reduce it further.

I would suggest you get this issue rectified first though.

Hi, luckily I was in the 14 day ? price increase letter which enabled me to leave if required without penalties.
looked around for a similar package at less ( TalkTalk) OK now have a 18 months contract but £5 lighter per month with Plusnet.

I would agree and PlusNet were like that too.

Main concern would be if it requires BT Openreach to fix some fault as it won't matter then who the provider is. They are all at the mercy of BTOR.

Being an employee of Plusnet i must say we don't use scripts in any shape or form.

connection speed is ok, so test download speed

    http://www.speedtest.net/

    reboot router, and retest

if still slow, post more details about your machines, the operating system, the browser, the antivirus, and the type of connection, wired or wireless, is the router plugged into the master socket, has the test socket been tried, do you have extension sockets
Don't you dare criticise what you cannot understand

Unfortunately though your Customer Support options have been going rapidly downhill.

    24/7 support removed - closed at 10pm.

Ticketing system almost hidden away in favour of Web Chat which, when you use it, tells you that you have to phone because they can't deal with it.

Very much increased call waiting times to speak to Support.

    CRT on Community forum reduced.

40/10 fibre removed and replaced by 40/2.

There seems to be a push on to attract greater volumes of customers rather than keeping the customers they already have with the good level of support that used to be the attraction.

Actually it was even worse than I thought.

The package used to be 38mb down and 20mb up.

Signing up now has seen the upload speed reduced to 2mb. This is also the case for those recontracting but PlusNet didn't always mention that.

Was it fibre you recontracted with?
