Barclays Took £2 Million from me

Bit of a silly comment really.
By making accounts overdrawn, Barclays are debitng themselves. All banks have the facility to debit or credit accounts with any amount they feel is needed. Personally, i wouldn't want to argue that point with anyone, i'm sure Barclays have their reasons, whether we agree with them or not.
As no-one here knows both sides of this story and the OP hasn't been back to update us, i would assume it's been sorted.
But it's a valid point. If anything ever went to court the defence could show that Barclays make up transactions to apply to an account and then cast doubt on others by suggesting the same may have happened. I'd not thought of it like that before but it would seem to make sense to me, I do wonder why they don't just block the accounts instead.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

Some 'banking and finance expert' Francis Coppola says that the client should have been told the reason, i.e. AML checks, and blames 'poor communication' LOL. Also, unsurprisingly, she fails to guess the genuine reason behind £1M overdraft balance and blames the incoming payments that were 'held up'. LOL again.0 -
I suspect a troll.
People are so bad on this forum. Just no respect... Why would you leap to that idea. People come here out of desperation.0 -

There are certainly people who post on here out of desperation. As there are certainly some who are trolling.
I would very much disagree that "people are so bad on this forum" and that they have "just no respect". There is a gigantic amount of goodness on this forum, people helping others, and each other, every day. This doesn't mean that there is always an answer to every question, or that people will always hear what they want to hear.
Perhaps hang about a bit longer before you accuse people of being bad. It's a bit disrespectful doing so when there is plenty of evidence to the contrary.0 -

Just because you've not been told what you want to hear in your own thread doesn't make people bad. In this thread the OP was asked multiple times to provide some simple evidence to back up his story and has failed to do so, which leads some of us to suspect that there is more (or perhaps a lot less) than we are being told. Tell us facts and a clear story and sensible, hopefully helpful, answers will be provided.0
