To me it seems that the protesters did exactly what John McDonnell said they should. He seems to be under the impression that "insurrection" is a legitimate part of the democratic process. Presumably he will feel the same way when people are throwing things at him and threatening to rape his colleague.
As you might have have guessed I am not a labour supporter, but I loved it when Prescott punched that idiot that threw an egg at him.

You get a certain element of people at some demos who just turn up to cause trouble and to end up throwing stuff. They usually cover their faces as people I know have told me when they have been protesting and the 'anarchist' types show up. They are total idiots IMO but it looked like overall there were a lot of peaceful protesters.0

Very true at left wing demos because they are encouraged by their leaders that such behaviour is reasonable. It isn't.0 -

Oh come off it.
Never have I seen any political leader encourage people to cover their faces and throw things at people. Not once.
The closest I have come to seeing anything which raised an eyebrow was Caroline Lucas of the green party encouraging the breaking of laws to get her point across.
However, I did feel her point regarding the laws was fair enough. As in they are only there to stop the people protesting in the first place.0 -

I heard that they hijacked the student demos in London a few years ago and I find it hard to believe that any of them were studying or had anything to do with the protest. They just arrange online beforhand to turn up and cause chaos.0 -
Don't you think their deaths and injuries are worth remembering ?
Don't you think that leading members of the Labour party are long term supporters of the killers?
Do you call poppy day an 'obsession' too?0 -

John McDonnell stated that insurrection was a legitimate agent of change.
Let's ask Martin what he thinks insurrection means. :money:
Oh dear, he's just doing the spinning thing. Let's try Google then. Oi Google, what does insurrection mean you great big mess of stalking adverts?a violent uprising against an authority or government.
Apparently the word comes from late Latin, 'insurgere'.
Do you really think that the Shadow Chancellor should be encouraging a violent uprising against the Government? It doesn't sound very democratic. I like democracy personally but I also, as a democrat, support the rights of those that would like to speak in support of violent opposition to the state as you seem to do along with Mr McD.
People who follow through to spit and threaten rape against others should face the penalty dictated by law if found guilty. I'm sure you agree with that.0 -
Well that's rich coming from a Tory MP!
What an odious bunch of self serving, devious money grabbers these politicians are. I suppose they believe they work hard for the wages given to them from the state coffers.0 -

How many years ago? Were they leaders when they said it?
You can ask Martin, or consult google if you wish.Do you really think that the Shadow Chancellor should be encouraging a violent uprising against the Government?
Nope - It's a good thing as a shadow chancellor then, he's never stated that.0
