Sunny - nobody is saying that everyone's experiences will be the same, everyone had different situations so time frames and outcomes will always be different. Majority of us are on a forum for reassurance and for an idea of others situations and outcomes, and not to have their situation belittled or made out to be incorrect.
Likewise all brokers have their own opinions, the one we used last time was useless whereas this time we recieve regular updates, and im sure they aren't lying to us when they inform us of anything. Just because your broker advises one thing there is no need to make out others are incorrect, as people's situations are different and therefore will be dealt with in different ways.0 -
I haven't said anyone was incorrect. All I did was state what my broker has told me. I basically asked him what the process was, to keep it simple, DIP, valuation and underwriters which he then told me not to believe what everything is said on the forum as a general thought. I obviously found it quite amusing lol.0

I know I'm definitely here for reassurance! Just to know there are people out there as stressed as I am!
I rang them again like a phsycho! Goal posts have been moved again and said 5 days. Which means now will be either cob Thursday or Friday. So frustrating.
Not going to ring until Thursday evening now (I promise myself!) lol0 -
So much stress and worry about nothing.
4 working days from application to offer through HTB and Nationwide back in May.
Whole experience was completely stress free and yes, the mortgage valuation fee came out straight away. My broker signed us up for text alerts which were great. I knew about our offer before he did!0 -
Now I'm totally befuddled!
I didn't think you uploaded everything for the DIP and this has taken a month?
He said he rang them and they said they would do the full application and then take the valuation fee but that he negotiated this with them as they normally do this straight away!
He said the DIP was ok at 340k but then when he did the full application with the hard check it came up as refer?! I have given bank details for the payment.
I will have to check with him tomorrow!
Confused
If it is just the dip does that mean as they've checked everything the underwriting would be quicker?0 -

Fairy this is what I am hoping too!
Our DIP has been refered, still to hear after a week of sending documents off. I'm hoping that as they have received evidence just for a dip, that this would be sufficient for the actual application too.
So has your mortgage advisor/broker said that the DIP was approved etc? And now it seems it hasn't?0 -
I have no idea! I've lost the plot!0

Anyone had any joy today? Tomorrow is when nationwide told me I should hear something by!0

... amusing, yes but is it really the kind of answer you want from someone representing you and arranging the purchase of your biggest ever asset?I haven't said anyone was incorrect. My summary earlier was what I thought your broker was saying to you, without actually saying it...I am a mortgage broker.
