Not only that , when she saw the shoplifter she wasn't subtle and he realised she'd seen him and put the stuff back while she was running to the phone.
And that's why shop staff on the whole , or even a customers word is not ideal.

Parents of a kid of this age will be the first to say-she was upset why was she left on her own in their with a man. It's very easy to put another female in there.Shops have to be seen to do the right thing.

Betty is a very observant member of staff. She has been with the company for many years and has a great working relationship with all her colleagues and regular customers.

Whilst standing at the fresh fish counter, she notices a white male wearing red trainers, blue jeans, a "coq sportif" black bomber jacket. He has a bright yellow baseball cap on back to front and is carrying a pink "Miss Kitty" backpack.

She observes the male picking up packs of steak and placing them in his crotch area and under his jacket. She immediately makes contact with security and advises them of his specific description and what she has seen him done. Whilst on the phone to security she advises that he is walking towards the exit.

At this point, although out of sight of Betty, security have seen him and apprehend him upon his exit.

Another successful day at work for Betty.
