Name for my cat

Options
Another cat has adopted us - we weren't looking for another cat as Mr Pennywise has a phobia of being known locally as *that cat man*. (We have three already 2 females - Spirit and Zephyr and a neutered male - Kaya)

We tried chasing him away, throwing water at him, shouting - but he keeps coming in through the cat flap, eating our other cats' food, playing with our cats' toys, etc, etc. We don't think we are his 'second home' as he is skinny (and a bit scabby) even though he eats our cat food.

Anyway we have just about given up chasing him away and are resigned to the fact that he wants to stay so we have to find him a proper name. Until now he has been known to us as ‘that scabby cat’ or ‘Scabby-Bob’ :o . I can’t ever see myself shouting Scabby-Bob from my back door but we have drawn a blank as to what to call him.

The other three have hippy-ish names and we would like his name to fit in.

Please help!

Congrats on getting adopted by a cat....my parents had the same problem a few years back. At first it was...its not coming in the kitchen...then it was...its not coming in the lounge....next...its not going upstairs...and finally....its not going in the bedrooms. You can tell it was failure all round.

The cat was small, so we started calling her titch. Her proper name was Gypsy, but it didn't stick. Once we'd started calling her titch we just couldn't stop.

The moral of my tale...don't fight it. If you've started calling him scabby-bob then perhaps a name of 'bob' would be the easiest way to go.

    I can!!!!!

We got a cat from a rescue centre. As we didn't know if he'd get on with the other cat we said that he would go back after a week if things didn't work out. We decided not to name him until we were sure we would be keeping him so we called him 'Little Puss'.

That was 8 years ago......he's still called Little Puss....he lives with ex-hubby now who still shouts 'PUSS...puss pussss' from the door :D

I think Bob's a lovely name. I have a habit of changing my kids names to m\ke them silly so Bob would becone 'Bobblynob, Bobblybits, Bobblewobble, Bingbongbob etc :D

I love it when people have cats called Geoffrey and the like.

Sounds quite reasonable to me, but then I regulary shout "Gomez" from my back step & my Mum calls Hamlet, Ophelia, Merlin & Guinevere home each evening so maybe I am not the best judge:o

Do you mean Angus? One of our cats is called Angus which was my husband's choice , named after a member of one of his favourite groups (AC/DC)

Our other cats have been called Woody (after a character in Cheers) , Ozzy after Ozzy Osbourne (yes , husband's choice again  ) and Bart after Bart Simpson.

The family have never let me choose a name , don't know why  what's wrong with Johnny or Depp for a cat's name? :D
