Got one with the weekly shopping from Mr T for 40p (even though I work next to the Range not been in there because I know I will spend too much) it seems to work well though so thats good!!
I don't get tinned corned beef anymore I get the slices because I can't do the keys either!!Read my diaryHere0 -
I have a problem with my hands, which means I cannot turn a conventional tin opener.
Several years ago I invested in one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chefn-EZSqueeze-One-Handed-Opener/dp/B002XV3QWS
Worth every penny as it involves squeezing the handle rather than turning a wheel0 -
Have one from 99p shop, i think- seems ok so far!breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??0

Hi,

That's my stab one!
We had one of those at home when I was a child, used to scare me witless. We also had another metal one was it called something like a butterfly? Had holes in the flat metal bits you were suppose to press on to turn it. Really hard work, couldn't use that one either.
We had a brabantia for years which worked really well. Replaced it with a similar design although not the same brand.Make £2025 in 2025

Rarely use a tin opener these days as the only thing I ever buy in tins are tomatoes, beans/pulses, tuna and mackerel. Only the tuna, plus the odd tin of kidney beans or chick peas, need to be opened with a tin opener.0

We had one until recently, I think it must have been from Tesco or Asda and it is the only tin opener I've been able to use. Unfortunately it was very rusty in the end so we had to chuck it
replaced it with one from Wilko which I can't use- so I have to resort to either asking right handed OH who can use it or using the electric tin opener. I'm left handed and I also have fibromyalgia so my hands often really hurt and the electric tin opener is a godsend. I had one before at uni and one of my housemates broke it and I was heartbroken!
