Oh and I'm in
Another one that will struggle with the tech stuff as I do like to check banking and HDUK daily for essentials on bargains which has really help me pay off my debt, but i'm cool with the rest of it.

Please count me in. I have a big birthday in October. I know DH is planning to take me for a meal with family which will have to be budgeted for. Apart from that, I am trying to cut down in every way possible. I think I may struggle with the tech fee day as my business is so reliant on social media at the moment, but will definitely try to cut down.0

Me please Dolly - I need to stay on the straight and narrow as I crawl ever closer to my DFD. Having to make myself accountable for everything I buy will certainly help with this - I have to find some extra pennies to finish paying for a Christmas break that I've booked for me and the family this month as well.
I need to cut back on groceries full stop. Meat I get at mates rates as I have a friend who is a butcher, but I need to stop with the 'popping in to see if there are bargains' thing that I seem to have fallen into. I will aim for 18 NSD's in October and this should help keep me on track here.
My true LBM came in March 2010 - my DH had recently returned to work after 8 months of illness, and I had recently returned to work after 6 months of maternity leave. Our finances were in a dire situation, and I realised that I couldn't borrow my way out of trouble any more. We had almost £28 000 of unsecured debt. A good friend told me about CCCS as it was then, and I spoke to them and it was like a huge weight off my shoulders when we set up a DMP. There have been good months and bad months, unexpected costs, setbacks, extra payments, complaints and all of the time there has been a friendly voice at the other end of the phone to reassure me and help me through. I will be debt free by Christmas - which means that the months running into December are going to be tight but it will be worth it for the best Christmas present ever... :money:Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Thanks for joining in guys. It is interesting that many of you think the tech free day will be a struggle. I just find myself too often looking at the laptop and not really listening to my family and wanted that to stop and also I see too much temptation on the internet and get that 'ooh it's a bargain' thing going on. We do tech free day here for the kids mainly, they hate it and complain bitterly and that makes me all the more determined plus I love to see them doing something together.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Welcome back in the fold Mrs Toast :hello:.
I might struggle with the tech free day too as I work on a computer a lot of the day. But I will aim for two tech free nights instead or even start with two tech reduced night a week. Often I catch myself watching mindless telly after 9 when all the chores are done whereas I'd much rather read or crochet.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hi. Could I please join? I used to do these challenges before NSK went on her travels and loved it. We've had a bad patch the last few months so back on the thrifty wagon I go. Can I have a target of 15NSDs and 4 in a row please
