Good evening all,
Here are my five today:
1 - Keep fit class, I always feel so virtuous afterwards!
2 - Concocted a nice rice and veg soup cooking some brown rice and adding the leftover veg soup from Sunday that I had frozen. Yummy!
3 - Got around to sending a parcel that was long overdue sending.
4 - Put three sprouting bulbs that were languishing in the back room in a pot with compost and put the pot on the mantelpiece, hoping to get flowers for Christmas
5 - Got two top price tickets for The Lost and Found Orchestra at a greatly reduced prices, so I am treating DH to a lovely night out (but will be eating in beforehand because I am giving up restaurant meals for a while - need to change my diet for health reasons - even more OS!)
Good night all!

I was an OS failure yesterday. We had some 'posh' relatives round for the day. There were quite a few vegetables left over from dinner which I put on one side for future reference, but when I looked at them at the end of the day, I was so tired and felt rather 'queasy' and couldn't stand the sight of them so threw them in the bin. Oh well here are my pleasures for today.
1. Being kind and forgiving to myself, I do try hard most of the time.
2. Making a lovely big shepherd's pie with the lamb left over from yesterday. It fed four adults and two children.
3. Christmas pud from the pound shop for afters.
4. Going to a talk at the local library which was really a review of 1908. Got a free mince pie and a cup of coffee there too.
5. Having a mini crafting session with my DGD after tea and seeing her face light up when I gave here a few bits of paper from my stash.

Hi all
You might recall how I was trying to look at the silver lining in the cloud of my broken dishwasher - well today I am delighted to report that this is my Pleasure no 1:
1 - When the dishwasher repair man (no call out charge thankfully!) came to repair my broken dishwasher, it was actually working! The problem had been that it was not draining and in true OS fashion I had tried to get the lemon juice and bicarb combination to make a chemical reaction to unblock any greasy blockages in the pipeline. It did not appear to have worked so I called someone to repair it, but today when the technician tried the machine (after two days of the concoction sitting in the pipes) it was draining perfectly! The gentlemanly young man did not even want to accept some money for petrol that I had offered him!
2 - Lunch, rice and pasta soup, eaten with my DS who loves the stuff, I like taking time with him, as it is such a rare event that he wants to spend time with me these days!
3 - My trip to the PO Box for work, I managed to post a parcel that needed posting (today again yeh!) after picking up work mail.
4 - Planning to make some pickled red cabbage, going out in a minute to buy vinegar to prepare with spices.
5 - Aduki beans out of the freezer, veggi mince in the freezer, planning a nice chili con carne tonight!
Good night all

2. making applesauce muffins with applesauce canned from the apple crop last year.
3. Making plum jam with the wild plums foraged from our street.(again) I seem to be the only one that picks them and there are about 8 laden trees. will have to get out the plum wine recipes.
4. Builder has nearly finished the bathroom, only a couple more days until it is finished.
5. Weaving a mohair scarf for SIL Christmas present.
Blessings be0 -
1. HM parsnip soup for lunch
2. Dinner from the freezer defrosting in the fridge
3. Cheap train tickets to london have arrived in the post.
4. Found out about the 2for1 voucher for Pizza Express - so will have a cheap dinner in London too!!!
5. The sun shining so walking 3 miles to work and looking at all the different buildings - saving £2 on the bus ride and much more interesting than being on a bus full of school kids.
