    Thursday blessings...

    1. A NSD, and both my pensions falling in the same week (one is monthly, one 4-weekly) so I have a reasonable sum to put by for rainy days. I usually manage to save a little on most pension days, thank you MSE, but it never feels the same when it's in dribs and drabs

    2. A neighbours DS getting excited when looking at all our 20p coins and seeing none of them had a date - then his dad told him to turn them over...bless him :rotfl:

    3. Wimbledon this week, Henley next :T

    4. Had a phone call from the respiratory nurse to tell me I'm on the list for the first batch of vaccine re swine flu when it arrives locally. It won't be available here for a couple of months but they said to call them if I have any concerns at all ( I have COPD, use a neb and inhalers daily and have to take a course of anti-b's and steroids every month), it's heartwarming to know they're so caring. Thank you so much, NHS :A

    5. Learning that my local leisure centre is one of the ones to offer free swims to locals of pensionable age. I have to go that way tomorrow so will drop in for more details. Retirement is more like a holiday every day, and I do love my holidays :D

Night night n God bless all, sweet dreams and hugs to everybody

    Morning all,

It's only 8.30 and already about 24 degrees! Had a whopping storm last night so...

    1. Everything is refreshed in the garden after the rain.
    2. I am catching up on washing thanks to the hot sunny days.
    3. Digging out more donations for the charity shops. Less clutter for me and £ for them.
    4. Having HM fish, chips and peas last night.
    5. Um, that's all for now.

Have a great day everyone - and where's some of the usual crowd - ampersand, ollie, scousewife etc etc.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

    Some for me already:

Getting a bit of a lie-in as both DDs had a very unusual and inexpicable extra hour asleep (must be the heat...?)
One of mine and DH's good old put-the-world-to-rights discussions first thing, there is nothing like a bit of that for starting your day off with some get-up-and-go! If only we were all prime minister for the day, huh? ;)
DD telling me "I like you" :D
DD singing her baby sister to sleep with Twinkle Twinkle
Arranging for a pal to come for coffee on Monday with her LOs - looking forward to catching up :T

    Sparrer congratulations on your medal.

    My five today:-

    1. The rain which refreshed my garden.

    2. It's cooler.

    3. DH has opened the last of our sack grown potatoes and we had quite a good yield, the moral of this story is, leave them for longer next time. I wish there was a little window in the sack so that we could mark the progress.

    4. Making the money 'just' go round in the supermarket but 'just' is a far more blessed state than 'not quite'.

    5. A new gardening magazine with things to send for which will recoup the cost of the mag.

    Bella.
