Done all 4 of my Windows machines (two virtually never used anyway though).
Eventually resorted to using classic shell again though because I'm still a bit of a Luddite.

Probably not - but does rule out my trust in MS and their forced upgrades.

Fortunately as it is my choice, anon popping up and questioning how more or less "leaky" it might be, is hardly going to swing my decision. ;)

Just upgraded one machine so far, over the top of a clean install of 7. Tried it for a few days but didn't get on with the Start menu so replaced it with Startisback.

Everything now seems to work nicely so I can't see any reason to regress.

    Hi

I like Windows 10 but changed a lot of the privacy settings. Everything is ok except Cortana not available eventhough all settings are set as UK.

What are the apps like as I don't have a touchscreen laptop?

I've got multiple platforms. I've done 2 "test" upgrades, one involving a multi-boot system, which upgraded without issues, although I have heard of multi-boot upgrade failures. Not done any clean reinstalls since the 2 upgrades.

    How about this ....

I'm waiting a while for all the problems to be ironed out and will probably do it before the end of the 'free upgrade' period.
In the meantime, the talk on the street is that it ain't an 'upgrade' - just a change
It's not there, because there are no problems. You shouldn't listen to things you hear on the street, they are rarely correct...

Want to bet on that regarding the NX bit and buggy BIOSes (or W10 detection routines) misreporting even though the CPU supports it and it's switched on causing a no NX support error. Meanwhile DEP working fine and active in W7

    First hand experience ;)
Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.
