    Me too. Keep going.

  • Thanks for that.
Not holding out for any BPA help.
However my MP is very interested in this situation and with the information I have provided and has contacted UKPPO again and DVLA to ask all the questions I have not had answered.

Also got a second dr+ letter worded slightly different .
"A court judgement against you could seriously affect your ability to obtain credit in the future "

Particularly infuriating this. Any legal right for them to say this?

Wrong question. Is it illegal for them to say this?

Answer is no but then a court judgement against UKPPO for fraud means the same.

  • Not sure what you mean?
Is it no to my question of legality or your answer of no to your question?
Either way, don't see how a civil matter can affect credit rating , totally wrong to me.

It can't ..... unless it goes to court, you lose, costs are awarded against you, you refuse/forget to pay by when the Judge orders payment to be made (usually 28 days).
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Well it can. Any County Court Judgment will blight someone's credit record for six years - but to get a CCJ against you, you have to be taken to court, lose, and still refuse to pay

Having said that, it's total BS from DR+. They cannot and will not take you to court.

Nothing on this issue for weeks now, but today I received a debt recovery letter from another company ?
Zenith Collections are now offering me a reduced fee of £59.99 (from £159.99) ? and state that all correspondence on this matter should now be directed to them in Ashton Under Lyme.

With the added line "It is our intention to pursue this debt and pursue it to a legal conclusion if necessary".

then 14 days to pay or revert to full amount due.

Also today an email confirming that an ICA (Independent Complaints Assessor form the DfT is looking at my case.

    Thought this had gone away.

You know to ignore debt collectors??

You need to wait the 6 years before it's "gone away"

Zenith collections is a trading style of Debt Recovery Plus.

Reduced fee = we know we can't enforce the full fee, but we'll accept ANYTHING, we're that desperate.
