  • Hello again and thanks for the support.
I have been on the companies house website and both UK Parking Patrol Office and Newcastle Park and Fly Ltd are both registered as active.
Where have others on this site got their information from
So what is the 'NEWCASTLE Park & Fly Ltd' gaffe?.
Ok Park and Fly only on the contract.
I agree with Bazter (great info) but need correct up to date info to escalate as the DVLA are certainly not giving any leeway here.

The Newcastle Park And Fly gaffe is exactly as you say: it doesn't say "Newcastle Park And Fly Limited" on the contract, it simply says "Park & Fly Ltd.". How can there be a valid contract with a company that doesn't exist?

And in any case Newcastle Park and Fly Limited is not the landowner. as far as I can tell it simply operates the onsite car parks, so how can it authorise anyone to enforce anything on the airport roads? The landowner and airport operator is Newcastle International Airport Limited.

You are correct that UKPPO Ltd. is now showing as active on the Companies House website. This is a pretty recent change, prompted I imagine by all the recent complaints. You will note that the latest wording I suggested above doesn't question whether the company is active now, it questions whether the company was active when the supposed contract was signed.

Hello and yes I have seen this thread. But not sure if it can help me. It seems to contain anecdotal evidence and lately a video link.
I have a debt collection letter which expires today.
    ?
Oh who cares about the debt collection letter 'expiring' (let it die!). You'll get another one soon, then another. So what? That's the whole point and the DVLA can't see it. Mark Lewis himself has said:
''Finally, the DVLA accepts that some companies use debt recovery agencies to recover unpaid parking charge notices. The information provided to the private car park enforcement company is passed to the debt recovery agent to initiate civil proceedings.''

But DERRRRRRRR...they cannot do this - civil proceedings - re a bylaws PCN and he's even called it a PARKING charge notice! Jeez, DVLA.

    :rotfl:
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • OK. DVLA email sent off containing all the points highlighted in the thread as it is too late to back down now.
Contacted my MP again and got a electronically generated email from the ICO informing me they are looking at my situation. I would assume the quicker I get a reply the more negative it will be ? 30 day return they said?
Yes I am becoming cynical, but do intend to see this through now.
  • Hello again.
I received a letter from my MP today who has contacted UKPPO Ltd and received a reply from A Mr Steve Cheetham who provided my MP with reasons and photographs etc to support his business.
I will scan these in and post them shortly (what's the best way to do this ?)
Also my MP has asked for copies of relevant correspondence between myself and DVLA and BPA.
I have some much any help with the relevant points here?
Working on posting the letter from MP now.

I don't see that Cheetham's photos have the remotest significance since, as I understand it, the facts as to where your vehicle was and what it did are not in dispute. It's just an attempt to deflect attention from his precarious legal position.

Tell your MP so, and do as he/she asks: send copies of all the correspondence. It makes all the relevant legal points several time over already. There must be a fair bit of it by now so be careful to organise it for your MP, don't just hit him/her with an uncollated pile!
