Now, I take it you can refer to the other parts of the regs regarding the variants that are compliant?0
-
-
No permitted variants of double yellow lines.

The hatched box must stop up to the double yellow line, not break it.
It is the double yellow line that is meant to be to the kerb in this event, not the box markings.0 -
I take it that the bus lane (all 30m or so of it) is not restricted? After all lots of traffic was driving across the box junction and in to it. Also, the markings on the road indicate that the left lane (on approach to the lights and box junction) is for turning left, not for going straight on.
That said, I don't see any other signage enforcing left turn only, so I presume the road marking is advisory only.0 -

Yes, the bus lane in only restricted on Mondays to Fridays between 7am and 10am and between 4pm and 7pm.
The OP's incident took place just before 3pm on a Saturday.0 -
The box markings may or may not be "non-compliant", but that does not automatically mean it is unenforceable. It is entirely possble for a court to take the view that any deviation is of no significance and has not disadvantaged or misled the defendant.0

I'd agree with this, which is why I carefully stated words like "it appears" "possibly" etc.
However, Ealing council do have form with essentially defrauding motorists, they have had to refund thousands of motorists over about the past 10 years for similar.
Court? I thought this was an alleged contravention?0 -
Oh dear Ealing council, the reg plate is not identifiable!0

How did they smanage to contact the keeper if the reg is not identifiable?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
