£1.49 OP today, really pushing the boat out
Was going to buy a kindle book but it turns out DH already bought it (and now Am@zon lets me access shared books). Instead it's off to the mortgage!0 -
PPI! My claim came back negative but i expected that. Mrs SJ's on the other hand looks a tad more promising. They've asked for some more ID rather than a flat refusal so that just keeps us interested for a wee bit longer!!
My idea would be to throw it all at mortgage but i suspect some would end up going to a new carpet, table and chairs etc...! Time will tell!!
Great read!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Thanks SJ! Good luck with Mrs SJ's claim. Wish I could pursue it but our mortgage is the only loan I've had in the UK, so I'm very certain I wasn't mis-sold anything.
I figure we could allow ourselves 10% of it for fun things - we probably won't actually use it all, though. £50 for shoes for DH, £50 extra in travel to have a day out this weekend, and £50 extra in the gifts budget to allow us to buy a xmas present early on offer. Haven't come up with anything else to spend it on, so ~£2k to the mortgage looks doable (with another £2k set aside for car purchase which means we don't need to save much else later).Just waiting until the end of the month to make sure we're really happy with that decision.

Thanks SHS!
£10.29 cashback from S@ntander CC came through today, duly sent off to the mortgage. Our annual fee for it won't apply until May so we'll milk it until then.0 -

Thanks, DFOD, you're so right.
Two more baby OPs today - 99p for a kindle book I was going to buy but found at the library instead, and £4.40 from sh0pitize.0 -
£25.97 from MB and £1.00 from budget shuffling off to the mortgage. Balance confirmed at £164,812.94.
Home with some sort of flu today, so hoping for a quiet day.0 -

Thanks, DFOD. Feeling a bit better today, though the weather was uninspiring!
£9.81 to the mortgage today from MB - quite lucky there as my free bet apparently didn't actually go through, so good thing it lost!
DH got a letter from B@rclays today confirming the PPI payment - bit slow, given that it arrived over a week after the money did (though to be fair, I'd rather get money first and explanations later). Nice to get confirmation about what it is, and that it's ours. Still planning to divide it between car and OP later this month.
Not much else to report - it's my birthday next week but I can't be bothered much about it. Might go out for a meal, but that's probably about it.0
