Evening all :hello:
Had another NSD today :j
We had hm potato, cheese and onion bake with baked beans and DH had sausages with his. One of my favourites so try to do it at least once a month
Hope you all hanging on in there as only three days left to go now until the end of the month.
Don't forget that we do not use the F*** word on here when it comes to budgets.
You might have overspent this month but at least you should know how/why and be able to work towards being closer next month
Hope you all have a thrifty Thursday

As I hadn't spent too much this month I decided I'd get all my joints for November weekends and spent a total of £52.86. This still leaves me with nearly £100 to move over to my Christmas/holiday savings at the end of the month as I haven't any more shopping to do in October. I've updated my signature.
Had another NSD yesterday and now stand at 16/20 so definitely not going to make my target but not too bad.0 -
Grr some last minute top-ups (made chilli then found I had run out of rice!) and have just edged over budget...never mind, quite a lot learned this month.
On to November. See you all then!GC Feb 2019 (to 10th) £397.07/£3000 -
omg went on my last YS rampage with my dear friend last night, spent £4.78, mainly on fresh meat, when I got home I calculated that it should of cost, £95.78!!! this is the last rampage as am moving out of the area, so will have to suss out the supermarkets over there!!
That's amazing. YS offers in my local sm are never that good, usually a bit over half price! (Sainsb mostly - sometimes get things in M&S but not often)GC Feb 2019 (to 10th) £397.07/£3000 -
Not much left to play with and need to get some more party food.... Will try my best tomorrow.

I started off really well, writing down all my spending in my diary but soon stopped that when life sort of got in the way.
I still have to go shopping on Saturday as I need to buy wine and a few bits to take out to dinner on Saturday night so will try not to go over my budget of £250.
Because this is my first grocery challenge, I just guessed at £250 but I am quite shocked that I've almost reached that target. I think I thought it would also include things like takeaways and meals out - but it doesn't. It just goes to show I have no clue how much I've been spending.
I have been stocking up a bit though as I've used up a lot of what was already in my cupboards and also got rid of some out of date stuff. My cupboards are still just a bit bare! I definitely need to get even more stuff as I like to have enough for when the bad weather comes.
It's ben really interesting reading about everyone else's challenges. This has been really useful and I will definitely sign up again for next month. I will update my final total at the weekend. Well done everyoneMortgage and debt free0
