Sailing very close to the budget so hope I don't need anything else till after Friday! Still aiming to shave £40 off for next month as I've thrown things away this month and know I could do better.
Hope everyone with children has a good half term.GC Feb 2019 (to 10th) £397.07/£3000 -
£4.84 in Aldi today - £1.35 left until pay day of the imaginary £200 GC budget. Enough for more bread and milk if required and I think I've got enough food in to last - although DS is on half term and eating for England, so more baking required tonight to keep the cake tin full. I've got a few dodgy potatoes left in the veg rack - anyone know how to turn them into hash browns, or shall I just cube, par boil and shallow fry? M'chap comes up this weekend and I usually do a full English for us as we only see each other once a fortnight. I've got everything in already, although I know DS will have hoovered up any frozen potato products by then, so I'm trying to think creatively. I may just have to give in and go over by £10 - I'm actually starting to count the number of eggs and mushrooms I have left. Is that a bit sad?3-6 month EF Challenge Member #19: £3590/£6000.[/B] Craft destash from 22.5.22: 46/200. Declutter from 22.5.22: 105/250 Car finance PAID OFF £7,848.88 IN 2019 (0% LOB)0

Cheese, YS bread and oxo cubes so £1.93. Cheese is for sandwiches this week although I did have peanut butter which I could have used. Will need more bread later in the week as this was just a small loaf and couldn't remember if I could manage to squeeze another one into freezer.
Also got 6 lovely lovely eggs £2
Have £51.92 left0 -
£7 spends yesterday, so £38 left in the pot until 1st November,0

Reporting one last monster shop due to half term. I've mislaid the receipt but it was around £150
So budget blown out of the water and into orbit. Maybe November will be better0 -
£5.52 for me yesterday. I can categorically say that is the end of my grocery spending for Oct 15 - what are the scores on the doors?
It's been a bit of a weird month for me. £5 of my spending was in treats handed straight over to other people (usually I would have at least a bite), around £13 on a family member (unusually low, for me) and £20 on nuts for my store cupboard!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

A small shop for me today of £8.99 - £7.01 in Mr Ts on mainly veg and £1.98 on freezer bags in Ald! bringing my total for the month to £108.11/£250.
This seems really low and think I've spent some of my own personal money on groceries (I withdraw some cash for bits and pieces which I don't track).
Only one more shop this month on Thursday so should be seeing a good amount being moved to Christmas or holiday spending (will move to Christmas savings for the moment but don't think I'm going to need it as will be away over Christmas/New Year so don't need to buy loads of extra food). Anything left over will get moved to holiday spending.
