Are we not your friends though? There are so many people on here I would class as friends. What actually constitutes a friendship - does it need to be a physical presence in your life, or is it enough to 'know' someone online? (no, on second thoughts, don't answer that....my head might explode if I have to enter into an intellectual discussion  :D).

    Ooh...deeply heavy and meaningful...

Don't know why you're postulating to an intellectual lightweight such as myself though. The answer would depend on how you'd define a friend, and indeed how you'd define an "aquaintance" - and really how you'd seperate the two. And what role physical meeting and 1-1 conversation has in that.

    Laugh till pee comes out!

You claim you are an intellectual lightweight.

You use the word 'postulating' as part of that assertion.

Intellectual lightweights [STRIKE]rarely[/STRIKE] never  use the word 'postulating'.

Therefore, you are not an intellectual lightweight.

    QED

    Rarely, but not never.
