The cancer is spreading. Lincoln, Stoke, Newcastle-under-Lyme, now Canterbury and Liverpool!

I'm sure tomorrow will bring more. #unravelling!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Now on ITV local news:-

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP3NoaktNMg&feature=youtu.be

    (about 8 minutes into programme)

Stupid for the TV woman to say they had been parked "legally" , Of course no criminal law would have been broken even if the motorist had overstayed.

People should not get too hung up over the semantics, the word fine is perfectly fine in a newspaper favoured by the great unwashed.

Tell the sheeple that a company is issuing unsolicited invoices and they will shrug their shoulders and move on, tell them that they are being fined for overstaying at Tesco and they will be righteously indignant.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • The BPA are investigating ?
Have they not seen enough already to immediately suspend them ?
What an absolute and utter shower they are.

What exactly is to investigate, they are committing blatant and deliberate fraud whilst waving the BPA banner.

    Talk about a toothless tiger.

Of course the BPA (Ltd) will say they are not a regulator, just a trade association.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • Just realised, if they have paid a commission, that adds incentive and solicitation to commit fraud to the list of charges.

The BPA aren't investigating, they're in discussion with UKPC on how they can come up with a 'way out'. They're in full damage limitation mode right now.

    More than one though.

So, were they talking to each other, or did it come from above?

I know what they'll say, but I wonder which was true?

Not sure that I agree 100% with that. There has been so much exposure on this case that if the BPA are not seen to be doing anything, then the flak that they would undoubtedly take is likely to make them want to be seen to have "done something" and anything less than a suspension would not tick the right boxes. Of course - expulsion would be even better.

Can they be seen to take no action if the Fraud mob bring any charges? They can, of course, postpone any action pending criminal investigation.
