The BPA will, right now, be calmly discussing with UKPC how to carry out and report on the findings of the investigation without it being too noisy.

A rogue warden will take the full brunt of it. The statement that the timestamps cannot be altered on their devices will be ignored completely.

  • We are smelling organised and deliberate fraud by people who think they can hide behind the BPA and DVLA as a veneer to cover for them.

How many thousands have just paid ?

I think the serious fraud office need to be at their servers today.

Any scheme which is monetarily incentivised is always going to be open to a fiddle.
My accountant always changed the bonus scheme every few months as he soon realised that by the third week some opportunists found a way of increasing their financial rewards without any increased productivity.

However this looks far more serious and systemic and possibly encouraged by management.

  • A UKPC spokesman said: ""We have put steps in place to mitigate the risk of this reoccurring".

I'm sorry, but we don't accept mitigation.

UKPC seem to have missed the point. It is one thing to have to deal with serious damage to the integrity of some of your staff but it is another to have to deal with the damaged integrity of your company - well it was the company's systems that failed.

If a system has failed then it has to go and if "We have put steps in place to mitigate the risk of this reoccurring" actually means that iWarden 2 has been "parked" whilst its failings are examined in detail then they should have bl00dy well said so. It is after all what the public needs to know if any integrity is to be retained.

Oh, sorry there was me fondly imagining for a moment that we are talking about a company that actually produces something rather than what most PPC's seem to produce - a fat profit for themselves and misery and impoverishment for others.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

I wonder if more cases will come to light if it gets enough publicity?

    Such as this one?

You know those so-called insults directed at these forums from certain PPCs. - "Parking terrorists", "Armchair lawyers" Etc. If it hadn't been for these forums and the information being made public, then this scam would probably never been exposed. Lets hear it for parking forums and the fight to expose the private parking "industry". :T
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

hopefully some bad publicity can be aimed at the landowners/whoever took the company on, making it known that they ( the landowner/who ever took them on ) can be held jointly liable for all of this

At the moment too many landowners (ie ADSA ) are hiding behind the (PPC) company that they took on to act as their agents on their land, if the landowners could be made to face up to their responsibilities and the public could be made aware that the likes of ASDA, ALDI, Morrisons etc are liable for this the less likely it would be that anyone would let a PPC onto their land
    From the Plain Language Commission:

"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"
