  • Aw, so glad that things have blown over with your friend, Faerie! That's lovely, I am really happy for you. I apply for freebies if I see them, I have enough toothpaste for about 2 years. I don't do competitions because my fog brain won't cope with them, I can't even figure out how to use the competitions forum! Filling in my name and address is about as good as it gets and I even forgot how to spell my first name the other day, it's only 5 letters. :rotfl:

I used to do comps of an evening while watching tv but rarely feel like it nowadays. It's been months since my last win. I think that was my £500 that bought my Iphone for me so it was worth the wait.

Faerie, if you have "substantial difficulty" with taking/retaining information on board for the review process due to your MH or physical health you may be entitled to a Care Act advocate if you think it would help.

    I love

  • Hahahaha! Funnily enough Pyxis I would have better luck remembering the spelling of WaS than I would my own name. I could always change my name by deed poll to Waves and Smiles, at least I could come on here and everyone could remind me what I'm called!

Shall I tell you about my conversation with the garage that have mine today?

I ended up on ebay this evening, trying to find the parts I need to get it fixed, Audi having deleted them from their catalogue last year.

It's the newest vehicle I own, so only 14 years old and the model only went out of production in 2005 :(

I actually have my address saved in Word. When I was talking to the DWP the other day they said can we have your address in full, please? Errr nope! Totally forgotten where I live, let me just open Word and find out! WaSp finds this hilarious, I am equally amused and embarrassed!

Hahahaha! We had the same problem with our car, ono. It's a very old Saab. We ended up buying the parts from Ebay because no one makes them anymore. WaSp is going to hang onto this car until it falls in half.

I'm not so bad with addresses, though the postocde at my office defeats me a year after we moved.

Phone numbers, though. It took me five years to learn my own mobile number, and a year after I moved I gave the phone number at my old house to someone who was coming round to install something. Poor man was very confused when he turned up :o

  • I had to make an effort to learn my own phone number, I wrote it down and repeated to myself constantly but I still sometimes get it wrong. I have no idea what the landline is or what WaSp's number is and I am afraid to attempt to learn in case I confuse them with my own number! I can remember my teachers number from back when I was 14 though for all the use that is!

thanks elsien,.. I probably should have organised an advocate, I didn't think to do that.. my care agency manager will be here and she's really nice. hopefully it will go ok. I think the last time I had a review was with my old agency and the manager didn't say a word, but I do trust this one, she is really sweet and hopefully, she will verify the shower situation and help me get the extra care . I am dyslexic in the number area.. i can never remember numbers, and I am actually dyspraxic which mean I am terrible with spacial awareness, really clumsy, and directions and addresses get wiped from my memory. I have had to get a taxi so many times with my hand out of the window pushing the unlock key, to try and find my car! numbers and directions really baffle me!I have no idea how I actually passed my driving test.. I'm a good driver, I just don't know how to get to places, even if I've been there a thousand times!
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)
