I think I'm back!
Well done Gingernutty, it must have taken some courage!
Faerie, I hope your back feels better soon
Don't eat too much cake Ono!
WaS, I don't argue much with Bearded One, mainly because he didn't rise to it. It works well for us because I have such a short fuse that I go off on one and by the time I realise he isn't reacting I've forgotten what worked me up anyway. We do manage to have discussions about most things though so little need for argument's.
I'm trying so hard with my temper, I think it is slowly improving, slightly.
Started one of those courses today, it's good to be learning again. Especially as it's now confirmed that I DEFINITELY don't have a job come December!0 -
I was that pumped up on adrenaline that I didn't go to bed until 04:40.
I've been out, got rid of some stuff to electrical recycling and the charity shop, bought some reduced food and came back.
I've got a pile of sewing to do as well as sorting out a couple of necklaces.
Just as soon as I've caught up with all the programmes I've put on hold while I prepared to do 'the thing'.
Tell us how Gitdog gets on, won't you elsien? Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Sounds to me like Gitdog will appear the epitome of restraint, decorum and canine social etiquette amongst that lot!
:D:D
Several words I never thought I'd ever see in the same sentence.
However, once he'd stopped trying to hump everyone's head.....
and got a bit of a puppy bromance going on.....
he was remarkably relaxed.(far right.) :A
So the question for gingernutty is, are you doing it again??? And if so, can we come and watch? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

This week I won an apron. I won an Easter egg on a charity raffle this afternoon. Littlewing won a decorate-an-egg competition! It will go on display in our town. She did do it by herself and it was beautiful so I am proud mummy today.
faerie, hope you are better soon.
Everyone, have a lovely weekend.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Don't know.
Before I left the venue, we were discussing fitbits and how to cheat them. I noticed that certain hand motions can fool the fitbit into thinking I'm walking.....:p
I made positive noises about coming back to the same arts centre again next year if they can find the funding for another course.
The lady who ran the course is an established comedienne in her own right.
She acted as compere last night and had us in fits.
I have no idea about how to carry this on, though.
ETA: Thanks elsien. They all seem to be, ahem, 'enthusiastic' little characters. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
I've seen her, she regularly performs around Brum.
Any open mic nights anywhere?- a few years back I used to go to one at a pub in Bearwood for people just starting out. I have an abiding memory of a woman with a large foam penis strapped on in front of her who was just bizarre. Thing was, it didn't matter if people were any use or not, it was only a small venue and the audience normally numbered about 10.
ETA - nice bit on today's walk. Young child asked if he could stroke Gitdog. So I made Gitdog sit, while child gently stroked his back and mum stood there with mouth wide open saying "but he's petrified of dogs." Gitdog's good deed for the day.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Bearded one bought me a fitbit, does it link to the thing we got the code for? I never did manage to get my head around how to get it all to work.
Escapette stood up holding on to the sofa today. She refuses to roll or crawl as apparently that is for babies, she is just skipping straight to standing and walking. She isn't even six months old yet0 -
Awwwww, Gitdog is a big softie, elsien!
One of my old colleagues daughters did that, Welly. She wouldn't crawl at all, just went straight to holding herself upright and was walking in no time. Mummy used to crawl around the floor in front of her and she said baby just gave her a look of disdain, she wasn't about to lower herself to attempt that!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Just popped in to say hi and share some good feeling. I've been in a really good mood for the last three days and have just got back from watching Indiana jones raiders of the last ark at the royal albert hall - with the entire score played live by orchestra and it was utterly fabulous. I say watching the film, but I didn't I spent the whole time watching the awesome musicians. Hubby who really doesn;t do classical, booked it for me ages ago knowing I love classical and Indiana jones score and even he thought it was an amazing experience. I was so pleased not to have to miss something yet again from being ill. so please feel free to share some of my good vibes...............big hugs to all squishables..............0
