I did the thing.
I got up on stage, in front of a sell out, standing room only audience for five minutes and made them laugh.
I've just got home and I've done my 10,000 steps on my fitbit, eaten far less than usual and I still feel warm and fuzzy.
I started the day dyeing my eyebrows and eyelashes and trying to hi-def my eyebrows in a magnifying mirror and I then spent the rest of the day trying not to rub my face and undo all my good work.
It was good fun and I might do something like that again too....:huh: Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -

Thanks for the well-wishes everyone.

I am expanding Gitdog's horizons tomorrow via a bull terrier walk in a new place. So far other bullie participants include (and I quote) one that is 6 months old and mental, one that is 18 months and very silly, a 5 month old bouncing mini bull and a 9 month old live wire.
If anyone would care to stock the fort with restorative alcohol, I have a strong suspicion I'm going to need it.:D:D
(Hope you've got some Valium, and that chaise longue and coolpad for afterwards.........or maybe a soundproof padded cell? :rotfl:)
JM, when I logged onto this thread, the first thing I saw was 'deskweasel'. So I looked.

(Only one problem.........the guy in the clip didn't seem to be getting much deskwork done..........hmmm......as if this forum weren't enough of an excuse to procrastinate!)
By the way, I won't be around tomorrow.......will be out from silly to silly at a day AmDram workshop, which will include a Flashmob! Yey!(I just lurve spiders!)

Well, my sleep pattern has shifted itself around to waking up the morning at least? I managed a whole 8 hours awake yesterday without a nap, this is actually an improvement.
Morning all!
Good luck, Elsien! Gitdog might surprise you, and I mean that in a good way.
Well done Ginger! You are very brave!
I wants a Deskweasel! One of my hamsters used to run around while I was on the laptop and she would chew the corners of keys if I ignored her. She snapped a few off, too!
Hope today is better for you, Welly! All sorts of strange bugs lurk at playgroup. When I was working in a nursery I was constantly sick.
Right off for a shower, see that JM? A shower! Then I shall take my medication and probably be asleep within two hours. :rotfl:Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Here is a strange little question that is no doubt going to turn into one of my long rambles - How much have any of you argued with partners/OH's in your lives? Do you see it as a healthy thing? Would you miss it in a relationship? WaSp was talking to Milliefleur last night and they got onto BIL arguing constantly with his girlfriend and WaSp proudly stated to Milliefleur that we never argue. This is very true, we have probably had 8 brief arguments in the last as many years. We never share a cross word between us.
What niggles at me though is this isn't because we have a perfect relationship at all, it's because since the last day-to-day medication increase I hardly ever get angry or irritated anymore. The tranquillising effect is so strong that I just don't feel those emotions. They are almost totally absent.
I went through 6 months before the increase of having sudden, uncontrolled rages. WaSp could be 10 minutes late home from work and I would scream at him, cry, accuse him of not wanting to be with me, tell him to leave, throw things, rip my hair out and completely lose it emotionally and become hysterical. Then 10 minutes later I would be deeply ashamed because all the anger had gone as fast as it came and I wondered why on earth I had reacted that way, it was if someone was flipping a switch. We increased medication to try to control it, it worked and completely pushed my emotions in the opposite direction.
Now if WaSp says something I disagree with I consciously think it isn't worth sweating the small stuff, it is too much effort to disagree so I don't respond or want to respond. It just feels way too exhausting and there are no real emotions to make me want to do so. I do think a degree of argument and discussion is healthy in a relationship and we no longer have that. WaSp rarely disagrees with me because I tend to be on the fence about most things, again there is no emotion to pull me one way or the other. I get confused if I try to form a thought to make an opposing argument and it makes me tired so I just agree or stay quiet. Fortunately WaSp is lovely and would never take advantage of this and is very easy-going himself.
I did share these thoughts with my psychiatrist and he shrugged and said because I was having sudden mood swings and hurting myself this is better for me and WaSp and I agree, I just sometimes feel like part of me is missing if that makes sense? WaSp see's it as a good thing and has a very peaceful life with me so that is good. It just...niggles because it isn't natural. On the bright side it also stopped my depression completely, I haven't been truly depressed for years even though it was a major feature of my life through my 20's and early 30's. That left with the anger as did irritation, bitterness, restlessness and for the most part fear and sadly a lot of my motivation. I never get an urge to do anything much, it is just too tiring trying to plan through the brain fog.
To summarise - I am very drugged. :rotfl:Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I think if partners are arguing ALL the time, it could be a sign that something's wrong. And I mean arguing, (as opposed to just speaking crossly to each other, because that latter is how some people speak). If everything one partner says is opposed by the other, there must be something wrong in the relationship.
On the other hand, it must be natural to have some conflicting views, but I suppose it's how the couple deal with them that matters. If it's always one person getting the upper hand, then that doesn't bode too well, IMO.
If two people are very well-matched, the chances are they won't argue about anything, unless one of them has a stonking headache, or is very worried/upset/anxious about something else.
It would seem that the medication stops you getting into extremes of emotion, hence you don't argue. Does it stop you having views about things? It doesn't seem that way on this thread. So if it stops you getting het up about things, that is probably good. I must admit, I could do with a bit of that right now!(I just lurve spiders!)

Hahahaha! I shall post you some of calmness, Pyxis!
I do have opinions but I seldom bother voicing the smaller ones if they are in opposition to anyone which is a bit of a change from before the medication was increased. I do have core values that I will fight for but they rarely come up with WaSp because we are very similar in our beliefs. I suppose I am just very calm when it comes to disagreements, slightly unnaturally too calm. Other than anxiety I really don't get extremes of emotion anymore, it stands out to me because before the antipsychotics were increased I had huge mood swings and felt everything extremely strongly, my life was pretty much a rollercoaster of emotion. This is certainly better, it is just a bit too far in the other direction!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Disagreements about things, yes, rows, no and I never raise my voice to people I'm disagreeing with (or anyone else, unless attempting to attract their attention from far away). Yelling solves nothing, it just makes people more upset so I don't do it. I am relaxed about a lot of things though so even disagreements weren't that common.
I couldn't be in a relationship with someone that needed to let off steam by yelling at me, no-one would worth being ripped to shreds inside and made to feel like my life is utterly without purpose, because that's how I feel when on the receiving end. It takes me a very long time to recover from, yet I've seen people blow up one minute and be all sweetness and light 10 minutes later - I'm the complete opposite, it takes a very great deal to properly upset me, but once someone has really worked hard, put in the effort and eventually achieved it, I stay that way for a long time.
On an entirely different subject, well done Gingernutty!
Off to my parents today then my brother's tomorrow for a weekend of family birthdays that happen to fall together, so another long weekend, then working at another motorsport event the following weekend and my Italian friend is visiting at Easter, which I'm really looking forward to as I see her so infrequently, but I may just fall asleep after I pick her up from the station, it will have been so long since I've had a free weekend by then.
