Beautiful photo Calley
Hope you and Gitdog went to the group elsien. Is the FB page usually busy? Maybe they haven't seen your post?
WW, code and everyone else with lurgy, hope you're all feeling better.0 -
I have been doing a little bit of clearing out each day. Drawer by drawer, cupboard by cupboard. It is tiring, but even if not a huge amount is going, at least the drawers and cupboards are tidy and I know what's in them. So far there's been about four bags of rubbish stuff, and three for the charity shop.
Four years ago, I succumbed to the sales marketing techniques of Gems TV and bought several pieces, mostly rings. I went through these again today, and was appalled at how I was taken in. Yes, they are real semi-precious stones and real gold and real silver, but the quality isn't brilliant. They looked wonderful on the TV!
Interesting, because I'm not often taken in by marketing techniques, but I fell hook, line and sinker and spent a lot of money rather stupidly. I've kept two of the rings and a pair of studs, but I've decided to give the rest to charity, Certificates of Authenticity and all, as their secondhand value won't be great. I say secondhand, but all except one item still has the description label attached to the rings!
All the boxes were taking up space in my drawer, so they have to go, and I shall write it off to experience! I wouldn't mind, but I was doing silversmithing at the time, so should have known better!
By the way, yesterday I decided to throw the few Useful Glass and Plastic Bottles I had retained from the other day's clearout. Now I expect I really will need one in a couple of weeks!(I just lurve spiders!)

We are back. I now have very long arms and am in need of a stiff drink.
The group were quite friendly. Gitdog was a knob, as expected, but not quite as big a knob as on previous occasions so I'm counting that as progress. Considering I wanted a dog to go for long country walks, picking one that can't cope with the great outdoors possibly wasn't one of my wisest decisions but as no other beggar wanted him I guess I'm lumbered.
Hope everyone else is having a good day, and well done with the sorting out Pyxis. Parent is also addicted to Gem TV. Which is ok as she likes the stuff, but I'm less keen on getting it for presents. Which sounds ungrateful but I'd be happier scouring the second hand shops given the choice. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Have been so productive today I might write a done list and just look at it :rotfl:
Although to be clear, the productive things are stuff like buy a shredder, change a bulb and put the pile of clean washing away....not exactly life changing0 -

Hey Tea don't knock it.
Me, I tided up my bedroom and took the blind down in the bathroom and cut the bottom off as it was going mouldy. Turned it up but not stitched it up yet. got as far as taking my sewing machine down stairs :rotfl:
Now bored and in bed watching something on Netflix. Still not touched my x-stitch in months.
Yours

I am watching the secret life of the zoo. And watching a mischievous 2 year old baby elephant torment the life out of its elders. Quite amusing. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Oops! and I just got up from a really long nap and have achieved nothing. You all put me to shame! I can hardly stay awake with this higher dose of medication, I manage around 3 hours before falling asleep where I sit. To summarize - I also have permanently a dry mouth, it has made my dry eyes much worse, I can't poo, I constantly want to eat, my short term memory is awful, I am slurring my speech terribly, my head is spinning even sitting down and I have twitches in my limb muscles. It's going great! Seriously though, it is holding off the psychosis which is what it is meant to do, the rest I just need to tolerate for now and look forward to when I can drop the dosage back down.

Sorry to hear that, WaS. Home made apple and blackberry crumble and custard heading your way.
From previous experience, how long till you can drop the dose? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

WaS, if you want anything to eat you'll have to fight me for it.....I can't stop eating either.0

Yum, thank you elsien! I'll share with Gitdog!
The Crisis Team said keep the dose high until the whole the ESA thing is sorted and then make an appointment with my psychiatrist before I drop it back down. That needs to be done slowly because they almost doubled the dose for the anti-psychotic and did double it for the antidepressant. It is keeping me well mentally but physically I am a mess. WaSp amused me because he panickingly said I actually seem ill now where I didn't particularly before, it's because there are so many obvious symptoms. Nothing can be done, it's just how psychiatric drugs work on me and why I am normally always a tiny bit unwell. If they give the me dose I need mentally, this is what happens physically. Could be worse, at least my brain chemicals seem to be ok!
Hahahaha tea! I have an all consuming need to eat constantly! This medication is recorded as causing weight gain for exactly this reason, I feel like I have a gaping hole in my stomach all the time!
