Hello from the isolation suite in the duvet fort. I feel terrible but everybody is rallying round doing my work and occupying littlewing and shopping etc. DH should win a Husband of the Year Award. He has been brilliant and done it all without moaning.
I have fever, headache, alternate blocked and runny nose, dry lips, throat is better but I seem to have a big blob of mucus at the top of my chest that makes coughing extremely painful.
I can hardly sleep, and have the heater off and the window open so DH is not able to sleep in with me. Poor thing.
Littlewing keeps slipping Get Well Soon cards under the door and the occasional Valentine Card when she fancies something different. I miss her but need her not to catch it as she has various things planned for this weekend. She has about 4 spots on her body and we are praying it is not chickenpox.
Faerie, I am really pleased with your news about the different things you are trying and waiting for. Sounds like you are getting some sympathy at long last.
tea, I love that wallpaper.
I haven't eaten anything but have had two glasses of orange juice now DH is back from the supermarket and I feel a lot better.
This is probably the first time that I have been ill without the illness being triggered by a physical reaction to an emotional pain. I wonder if it is hurting more because there isn't the adrenaline flooding around my system.
I was thinking a few days in bed would be like a dream but I can't be bothered even to read.
I still haven't heard about the scan yet either but it has only been a week.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I accidentally inhaled an entire packet of salami, conveniently placed inside cheesy rolls today!0

Er

I'm hiding at the back of the fort today as I'm in an absolutely vile mood and I have no idea why0

I've just eaten a massive curry and half a tub of ice cream....and I'm seriously considering a twirl to finish it off.0

My body seems to have gone a bit silly. I last had a TOTM 23 days ago and started again today. I use to be approx 30 days. Now it seems to be between 22 -30 days. Actually caught me on the hop this morning.
Think its the long down hill slide in to the menopause :j:rotfl:
With that and my back and hip I am turning in to a old woman way before my time

And I inhaled a Boost bar.
Question: When did jobs become roles?
Chat-up Line? Me? No fear!
I am not a turtle it is, then!
Code, can you give it to me phonetically? I don't know how to pronounce Portuguese.
Boosts are awesome.
Eu - pronounce both letters seperately, kind of like a soft eww.
Não - now
Sou - sue
Uma - as written
Tartaruga - tartarooga
This is of course Brazilian Portuguese pronunciation but should be close enough that you can be understood in Portugual.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
FB,
Going to give a more detailed reply from this morning.
I do like and care about my husband very much. And it does cause me much pain to see him like this. But and here is the big but. His stroke has messed everything up. Going out for the day is hard work. I have to do all the driving. But very limited to what we can do. Can't walk along the beach etc. Can't go for bike rides.
Penguin-nothing bad but personal
Also there is the intimate side to things. Just to clunky if that can make sense. And yes its not the be all and end of a relationship. I am still young only 43. He is 53 and could live to he is 70 +. I don't want to go 17 years + with out being intimate with someone again.
Penguin End
We both like so many of the same things and get on with each very well. So I can see why some of you think its strange we are not together. But we can't live with each other. And I really don't want to be known as his carer. I use to get that when I met people we knew and I was on my own. Always ask how he was. Never gave a thought to me and how I was coping or not.
Still not sure if that still makes sense to anyone.
Yours
